you have probably hit a dead spot on the motor - try turning the motor by hand and then turn it on - maybe it will kick it.
dangerous to do it while the power is on but some people have had luck doing the same thing while the power is turned on.

it sounds like you may have an obstruction in the impeller. Is you pump basket cracked or damaged? You may have to pull the pump apart and check the impeller, clear the debris and you should be back up and running.

no its a sign of somthing stopping impeller take strainer out and check for sticks or something stopping it impeller iis in housing behind water cup may have to be removed try taking a pliers and turning shaft while pump is off this may free it

Short in the motor - It may be salvagable but not likely. Try a local electric motor repair shop but call first for labor charges. Some don't work on 'small' single phase motors. If it is not the winding that is bad expect to pay about $100 to fix it, assuming it can be fixed. If not, a new one is probably $150 or more depending on horsepower.

Replace the plug with new, non champion if possible, That is what I would do first.

yes, cut the wire about 18" - 24" from the plug end, then install a regular wall light switch in an outdoor style weather proof single toggle switch gang box. Available all day at your local DIY Center. I have done this with portable pumps that I take with me on the job site at times. I do something a little different by taking one extra step for safety reasons. I use a "Double" gang box instead of a Single and install a GFCI outlet next to the switch where the GFCI is wired first and the switch is wired in after the GFCI so it is protected from any possible shock. and the pump will be protected as well. Question edited for clarity, 'till' refers to turning over soil, 'tilling', 'until' is the word you need. That sounds like a thermostat problem. The heater should only be on when water is circulating, even if it is just in the standby mode before the high pressure jets are turned on.
