Campbell Hausfeld 13 - Gallon Air Compressor Questions & Answers
Campbell Hausfeld 13 gal air
Your problem is most likely because of damage to the valve plate or piston & cylinder. If one or both of these are not working properly you'll get partial pressure and the unit won't turn off because the tank never comes up to full pressure. Things to check for are damage to the reeds on the valve plate, they could be bent from overheating or broken from use or wear or damage to the piston seal which can cause damage to the cylinder. If any of these aren't sealing properly the air pressure will come up to a point where the air leaks out faster than it goes into the tank. Without your particular model number I don't know which parts to recommend but if you contact Campbell Hausfeld they'll help you get the right parts.

The compressor works up to
This is indicative of bad reed valves in the pump head. The only way to fix it is to replace them.

Electric motor will not start . just grrrrs and
May or may not have a start capicitor on the motor
Sounds like either the start cap is bad or the motor has seized up
Try turning the motor by hand after removing the drive belt it should turn freely

Fuid inside compressor..do I undo drain plug !
Open the plug at the bottom of the tank while the compressor is on so that it will blow out all the crud. The black liquid is the gunk from the oil in the compressor and staknant water. When the crud stops coming out and you herar just air, you should close the valve and you are set to go. You should drain this tank al least once a month if you use the compressor a lot. I hope this helps. Don't forget to rate my answer. Thanks.

Hose from compressor to air tank
Campbell hausfeld parts are available at
www.chpower.com, however, you can use standard parts like copper tube or rubber pressure hose available at Lowes lumber or True Value Hardware. Check for cause of failure of the airline, could be from vibration due to loose motor mount or faulty check valve at tank causing back pressure. Enjoy

Campbell Hausfeld air gun has air coming from the nose tip and no nails
If air is coming out from the nose tip but the nailer is not firing any nails, it could indicate a problem with the driver blade or piston assembly. Check if the driver blade moves freely and is not damaged. Make sure the piston assembly is properly aligned and lubricated. Also, check the nail magazine to ensure that it is properly loaded and the nails are the correct size for the nailer. If the problem persists, it may be necessary to take the nailer to a professional for repair.
