Achiever CCS5000 Shredder Questions & Answers
Where can I get a belt diagram
I could take a photo of the belt layout on my unit for you and paste it here. I'm still looking for help with the paper sensor on mine, which seems dead. I'm not sure how it is supposed to work, but it looks like perhaps it's a photo diode and a sensor that might trigger the relay when paper interrupts the light path. I can see two pairs of wires leading to something on each side of the paper path. Any ideas how it works?
Where do I purchase a fuse for the CCS5000
These are the guys who should help;

try them first for troubleshooting and spares and dealer locations. they don't have anything online with any details more than sales literature.
Hope this helps - please ask again if no luck :)
Need information on achiever crosscut shredder. Is there any available?
unplug it & flip it upside down. there are 4 bolts,1 in each corner. remove them & turn it back right side up & carefully pull the top off. there will be a few wires attaching the board in the top to the bottom 2 of them should have quick connects that you can remove. now you should be able to see what is caught. if you can't get it out without powering up, hook the 2 quick connects back together & turn it on with the switch. by rocking it back & forth it should be able to come out. a pair of needlenose pliers might help & keep fingers out of machine. hope this helps ya. i love this shredder
The plastic peice that activates
I had the same problem. I super-glued the pieces togeter and allowed them to dry completely (over night). Then I super-glued two strips of plastic perpendicular to the original brake and allowed to dry completely. It has worked for several years without difficulty. I was unable to find the broken part. However, if I had a plastic injection moulder, I would make them and sell them for $20 each; free postage.Good LuckDavid
Infoguard shredder SX-102 runs in reverse but not forward
Shredders have a manual switch for reverse..... if you have tried this, then there could be a possibility that the switch has dust of paper in it and the contacts not making contact for the reverse cycle... or the switch is faulty. If you have any electrical knowledge, you can do a test with an ohm meter for continuity in the reverse mode.... or remove the switch and blow it out with an air compressor. If you mess with electrical, ALWAYS REMEMBER TO UNPLUG THE SHREDDER!!!
Good luck.........
Plastic piece that fits inside waste basket that hits the on off button is broken
you dont give much explaination of what it looks like ....I have fixed several of these shredder problems like this.. I had the same problem, but I formed one with JB Weld. I put on a layer, let it dry (24 hrs) and then added another layer... I did this five times. to get it high enough to touch the switch.
Do you have the piece that broke off? Use JB weld to glue it back... JB weld hardens to the strength of steel...
If you dont have the piece, use your imagination and improvise one made of plastic or metal... then JB Weld it, But make sure you have the correct length by using a small ruler to insert to where the switch is activated. MEASURE TWO OR THREE TIMES... AND CUT AND GLUE ONCE. PAY ATTENTION TO THESE LAST TWO LINES.
Ccs/5 shredder wont power on
Do a very thorough inspection of the cutting blades. I have found that just a shred of paper, that one would think would not be a problem, can in fact make your shredder act as you describe. How old is it? Depending on age & the heavy usage you say it has had.... it could very well be good old made in USA obsolescence. Wish I could tell you more. Without a multi-meter;(Ohm Meter). & manual to know what power is getting from point A to point B I cannot advise beyond this. Sorry.
