Is it plugged in? Lol gotta ask that. If so, you might have a problem with a dead power supply or perhaps even the outlet where it's plugged in is having an issue...blew a fuse, tripped a breaker. First try plugging it in somewhere else (another room). If that doesn't work, and there is power in your house, you might need to take it to be serviced or toss it and buy a new one. Nothing lasts forever. You just need to determine if the price of service + parts is worth it.

Is this remote specific to the tv or is it an all in one. If it is all in one you have a code entered that is similar but not right and that is why you only have certain functions.

You can purchase a tv stand from Amazon or your local Walmart I believe they have them in stock.

is it r,w,y on top of each other? choose one and see if functions 1 may say in oter out

The teletext button on the remote control handset, has usually a toggle action. One press for on and another press for off.

If you have an HDMI cable you may be able to hook it up that way. If not try a audio video cord if your box has either of those it should work.
