MY MP3 WONT LET ME DOWNLOAD VIDEOS

You have to use the Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter to convert/transfer videos. If the converter is not recognizing a specific video type - FLV, for instance - download a free program called Riva FLV Encoder and convert the videos to AVI format first. Then the Philips Media Converter will recognize them.

The Philips Media Converter is not capable of converting an entire DVD - you will have to acquire video editing software, and then break up the DVD files into 15-minute chunks, and then convert each chunk.

If you are getting a codec error, do a google search for free video codecs - they are out there. Windows Codec Pack and downloading the latest version of quicktime will give you most of these needed codecs.

This player is not capable of playing copyright-protected videos - so don't even bother with them.

Additional information is available both from Philips website and from Arcsoft's website.

My a3025 just froze up and i can't power it off. what do i do??

icu - Make sure the hold/lock switch is not engaged. But also note the section in the manual that states that under a certain play mode, all buttons will become unresponsive when watching videos - you will have to reset the defaults on the player to over come this.

kwd - You MUST use the Philips Media Converter to transfer videos. Even better, download the latest verison of the Philips Media Converter from Philips website - but make sure you only download the Media Converter for your exact model #.

If the videos do not show up in the Converter, use a free program called Riva FLV Enocder to convert the videos to AVi format - then the Philips Media Converter will be able to see them.

Downloading vidoes

Download the Microsoft Codec Pack first.
You may need to download additional codecs - MPEG, AVI, FLV - the types of Codec you need depend on the format of the video you are trying to transfer. Do a google search for these Codecs, although you will gain many of them by downloading the latest version of Quicktime.
You may have to convert some video file types to AVI format by downloading a free program called riva FLV Encoder.
Once they are converted to AVI format, your Philips (Arcsoft) Media Converter will be able to convert/transfer them properly.

Philips MP3 PLayer

Overcharging can damage an mp3 player. I will give you a few "soft" fixes, but most likely you will need to call Philips and see if you are still in-warranty:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Someone help how to put music on phlips gogear sa3025

Download sa3025_97_mcs_eng application from philips web site and you can use this to convert videos/images to required format. Then this files can be easily copied to player through a PC. copying songs is just easy as we do it in pen drive. But copy songs in folder name "MUSIC" only.

How do you know when its fully charged?

You can either charge it by connecting it with a usb lead to your computer (which takes ages) or by plugging in a mini-USB style charger, which come with many mobile phones.

While it is charging, the battery indicator will animate, with the battery contents moving, as if the battery is 'filling', much like a mobile phone does. When the charge is complete the animation will stop, and the battery indicator will simply look full.

If you are charging through your computer the indicator will be in the top right of the screen. If you are using a charger the whole screen background will be black, with a large battery in the middle, and nothing else on the screen.

Can not turn on mp3 was working and i don't know how to charge

You have to hold the power button in for 3-5 seconds for it to turn on (make sure it is disconnected from the computer).

If your problem is deeper than this:
Make sure the hold/lock switch is not activated.
If it is not, then try a different USB port on your computer.

If you get the same result:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Organization

In the music menu, there is an option to search by Artist or Album as long as you have at least one song on the player that has an ID3 tag that lists the song's artist or album. Those are the only way of organizing the songs on this particular player.

You cna use it with Rhapsody - but you can't use Rhapsody's protected WMA files - you can only use the songs purchased through Rhapsody's Mp3 store - the ones that are in true mp3 format. An expensive proposition.

How to download music

You can't go through the Real Player. You have to Rip the CD's using Windows Media Player 10 or 11. If you have an internet connection on your computer, only download songs that are in true mp3 format, because the newer GoGear's can't handle the DRM protection system that 95% of music services use.

My philips gogear sa3025/37 wont work

The SA3025 is not compatible with Macintosh. It will show up as "Internal" or some such, but you won't be able to load the songs into there properly. That is why the documentation says:
System requirements
• Windows® 2000, XP, Vista

Not a problem just a question

You have to run the video files through the Philips Media Converter. I personally use Pinaccle Dazzle to connect the RCAs to my computer - use the Pinaccle software to capture the video - and then convert the VOB files to AVI format. Then, I can run the AVI's through the Philips Media converter. But this is not the only way to accomplish the feat.
