The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Touch HOME to bring up the menu. Select Settings (the toolbox icon). Select the fourth item on the menu.

This type of fault is not a DIY project. You will need to take it to a Sony repair centre. I suggest you get a quote as it may be too expensive to repair and it may be better to put your money towards a new and better camera.

Hi,Your camera must be experiencing these symptoms due to a faulty CCD, and not due to other problems. If the problem is due to your dropping the camera, you might be out of luck.If you have not dropped your camera and still facing this problem, then contact service people to replace the CCD imager in your camera .Hope this helps . Hello .Make sure battery is fully charged .Inside battery door compartment there should be a reset button to push..Try that, if unit still wont work,yes there is good chance unit was subject to moisture .Please let me know..Goodluck

Congratulations....your camera has just turned into a personal massage device! At least, that's what the people at Sony hope you believe. This is a well-documented problem with Sony cameras and they won't fix them.

If you can try to change the method and still it wont be detected then the card can be faulty.
So using the linking cord try and see if the memory is detected on teh PC, is so copy to folder.
if not try with another PC to confirm. If the card can be read with a card reader then it will confirm the card.

*touch home(house icon)
*look for settings (tool box icon)
*last option at the bottom is language settings(touch it and look for english and then set)

I am so sorry to hear about your problem, but fortunately there is hope. From the looks of it the memory on the card is corrupted. There is a software that does a great job of recovering the data from such devices. The free trial lets you scan for data on your card, so that you can purchase it , if it can find all of your pictures. You can get it from the link below. All you have to do is install it, insert the card into a card reader, and scan it for data. If you do not have a card reader, you can get it for under 5$ at your local electronics store that sells camera or mobile phones. I wish you good luck!

Hi your unit has lens unit defectiveness. It won't reset itself initializing. The noise come from initializing IS unit defect. your local repair shop would charge around $45 to 115 depend on what they really want to charge. thanks and best regard!

Bad SteadyShot inside it. Needs repair, no user solution :-(

Having gone over three months without a response to my query, I assume my suggestion to use a card reader eliminated the need for a driver.

There should be a way. go into play mode, then goto menu and choose copy, to mem card.

Broken SteadyShot inside the camera. Can solve service personnel only.

This camera has a sensor which can take photos in shaking,this can be activated from the menu.picture clarity of this camera is good.

This is a common problem with Sony cameras. You should complain to them over and over and over again until they do something about it.
