When you buy a new computer, quite frequently it will come with a trial version of MS Office installed. To get the 25-digit product key, you would need to buy the full version from microsoft.com or in any software store.
As a free alternative: OpenOffice is a free application which is 100% compatible with all MS Office applications. You can download this for free from www.openoffice.org.

i hv a problem on my machine. Actually it was infected by viruses and then i tried removing some. After scanning my machine using Super AntiSpyware, i guess it renamed some infected files which were not curable. and from that time i am not able to log on. meaning everytime i boot, i get an error "Interactive Logon Process Initialization Has Failed".. i googled it and retrieve an event log "application.evtx" to look for SideBySide error but there aint any...tried Repair, Restore, nothing works....can anyone plz help...i need a solution other than restore...i can back up data n restore it but i hv one utility which cant be backed up so badly need a solution...i m running Vista Home Basic

Can you start on safe mode? If you can do that and go to C:\ and type dir/p and look for any file regardless of its extensions that created at the time you lost control, and keep note of it then logout and start again in safe mode by pushing F8 at the startup few times tell you bypass the window startup and click on safe mode…login as admin and uninstall the software then search for any file that was created on the same day that you had the issues with and delete them including the one in the recycle bin. Logout and restart again as admin from safe mode and try to login to the net and go to free scan website and scan your system. If that did not work you can try to restore to the last day that you can and that will not effect your folder that you need unless it is new and after the restore dat..let me know how that work for you and please do not forget to rate my service so we can improve on it with your help. I need to reset my Dell Inspiron 530S back to factory settings. Can someone tell me how to go about doing this?

my computer will not boot up. it says AHCI bios not installed. it is a dell 530 s inspiron can anyone help please. it also doesn't show to have cd rom but added A drive which it does not have it wont boot up says AHCI bios is not installed
This can happen on some models. Turn the computer off and unplug the tower. Press the power button to discharge any stored power. Plug it back in and press the power button. You will probably get this message again but let the computer sit. Windows may be working in the background trying to start back up. Let it go for like a half hour to an hour. If it does not start you may have to do a system restore or a repair install to make windows start correctly again. If waiting longer does not work for you then let us know and I can give you instructions on how to continue the repair process.

I have a DELL Inspiron 530s with a G33M02 motherboard. I've purchaced a new case for the computer and I need to identify the pin layout for the Front Panel Connectors. The DELL has one connector that fits the 9 pin unit. The new case has (4) four two pin connectors. I need to know what order they go in. Power Led + & - Power SW Reset SW H.D.D. Led If you were to install them from left to right (with the missing pin in the top right) what order do they go?

Just want to make sure that we connect the wires to where they are supposed to be, although it's okay to plug them in and go back to it if we plugged it wrong.
