I cleared one folder called

Here's a hunch:When the RC-50 was hooked up, your computer had access to the internal memory. The WAVE directory is where the wave data is stored. The RC-50 must have noticed that the wave data for patches that were supposed to have data was in fact gone. So, you can probably just do a factory reset:With the power off, while holding both single/multi and loop-sync, power the RC-50 up until it greets you with SYSTEM/PATCH use the PARAMETER buttons to go back and forth. In your case, you can probably leave "SYSTEM" alone and just select PATCH. Once you've selected which section of the RC-50 you want to reset, hit the WRITE button.

Hi Nothing happens when I

The Boss RC50 is intended for guitar level signal. Your computer takes line-level. Hence your effects are "down in the noise' and you don't hear them.

Why are my exported wav

Make sure that the file format is the same, first. If so, try converting the format from wav. to a more recent format type, such as mp3, or mp4 if possible. This may help, as the computer may recognize it better depending on the program you are playing them with.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Im trying to connect two

While you can probably get the functions sent by MIDI to transfer to the other unit, syncing PROBABLY isn't going to work very well because there is a lag to form the MIDI sync clock (serial data) and then receive it, decode it and do something with it.The transmit time is about 1/3000 of a second and receiving is at least that much time. On rhythm things I have found the ear can hear 1/1000 of a second easily. If one could set the machines to use an EXTERNAL sync clock and drive the SAME clock to both units, you might be able to sync them together time wise as they would see the sync at identical times.

I was trying to transfer

Usually in any type of situation when data is being transferred and the connection is prematurely lost there is data lost and or file corruption.

My suggestion:

Connect the Boss Rc 50 to your computer and backup its entire contents to your computer if possible.

Next perform a Hard Reset: While simultaneously holding down the "PLAY MODE" and "LOOP SYNC" buttons, turn the power on. Everything should be restored to factory settings.

If your backup was successful, then you can transfer desired files (one at time) to determine if the are usable. If a file causes errors or malfunction, then most likely it is corrupt.

Hope this helps

My Boss RC-50 has stopped working. I used the

CHeck the voltage out of the adapter. It should be around 9 to 11 volts. If it is not, it is possible that the OC3 has reversed polarity AND a protector that put a short on an incorrect supply. If so, it could have damaged the RC50 adapter. If the RC50 adapter is putting out correct voltage, then I suspect the inout connector on the RC50 may be damaged or not quite seated. Visually inspect the connector first.

Hey there, i have an

Make sure you start and terminate the sampling on the beat... otherwise when looped the thing can't "splice" the sample without clipping the sample to tie the start and finish together... and keep the rhythm.

You might want to review your manual regarding modes they may have that are more tolerant of the splicing of the sample.

Understanding the problem is half the solution!

Why do i have no display and the tap tempo light

This sounds like a pwer supply problem. Verify that you have the CORRECT power supply for the unit. Often these get swapped and incorrect one is connected and sometimes damage is done doing this.

I have this, its a lovely looper when it works. what I think is the problem is that you need to empty the trash. If on a mac just go to finder and press empty trash while the unit is attached to the computer. If using a pc then follow the same procedure to empty the waste bin, as its called on a pc. Hope this helps!

I connected an RC20 to a 16 volt/800milli supply & blew it.

It would be helpful if you told us what type supply you connected to the unit.

These normally run off a 9 volt DC supply. Likely you wiped out the input regulator chip and maybe a diode and capacitor.

It is definetly worth repairing.

If you open it up the damaged parts MAY be obvious. There may be a couple which do not show the damage.

Airport security scanners are a possibility. They use Xray which can with many trios through (especially the bagg ones as they are higher energy) and also they have had some scanners that subject the baggage to high radio fields to affempt to set off any electrically detonated device while contained.

Best to NOT travel with electronic gear, but to rent it at destinations...

HOWEVER it is a possibility that something mechanical has come loose due to rough handling.

Open the unit and put gentle pressure on boards and display and observe ANY changes. While you are at it, look for any cracks on the boards.

Hello! I dont get any Midi

When the RC-50’s set to receive a MIDI clock signal at its MIDI IN jack, its phrases and guide can be synchronized to MIDI clock messages sent from an external MIDI device, such as a drum machine, MIDI sequencer, or even another RC-50.
When synced externally, the RC-50’s patch tempo follows the incoming MIDI clock tempo, and phrase actions (recording and playback) can be controlled via incoming MIDI start and stop messages.
When the RC-50 is receiving MIDI clock messages, Loop Quantize is always enabled. The patch tempo—determined by the MIDI clock signal—provides the measure length reference for Loop Quantize.
