Unknown cpu detected asus
You will get this message when you install a CPU that is not supported by the mainboard BIOS. Many older mainboards have sockets that will support much more powerful CPUs than they were originally manufactured for. In some cases, the BIOS may be upgradeable to support the new CPU, in others, the CPU may draw too much power or the mainboard chipsets will not support the CPU capabilities. If your CPU is on the list of compatible CPUs...you may need to upgrade the BIOS to support it. You will need to install a CPU that the mainboard will run with to do the BIOS upgrade prior to installing the new CPU, however.
It does not start booting from disc when
Hello here is your mainboards home page:
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_775/P5KPLCM/#downloadSelect your windows system.Next select manual ( if you don`t have one)Click on global for download. And unzip the file. You need a pdf reader to read content.Enter the bios by pressing the delete button whileyou reboot and select your boot settings for the driveFirst boot device must be the cd/dvd driveAnd second must be the harddrive.Look in the manual how you do that.Regarding to your cpu fan problem Check that the fan is not blocked with dirt and the fan can spin without power. Also check that the fan wire is mounted the right place on the mainboard (check in the manual)Good luck

Asus p5kpl-cm boot problem
Could possibly be a fault on your hard drive the same happened to me ,I checked the hard drive on another pc and it was dead..Good luck John
Does not boot at all!
Did you check the power supply on another system to make sure it is operational. have you reseated all the connections to the MB..
Does it post any info ? are there any Beep codes?.. Or just sit dead . If it is sitting dead all I can think is that it might be a Power-supply problem but if it powers up or beeps or gives a green light or amber light on the MB then it is some other problem
Beeps once when starting up
the beeps are post during
post the very first work is done by the ram,all the memory in the ram is first
transferred to the hard disk, and remains active untill turned off.
make sure
that your RAM is securely seated
One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or
to shutdown or fail to detect your hard drive
Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including
electrical extensions,IDE,SATA
the leads from your ((motherboard
to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure connection and are not
faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and
to have and end to function
obvisously the
beeps are windows searching for some hardware it could be RAM cd/dvd hard drive
or motherboard all of these must have secure connections for the computer to
work
make
sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have
secure make sure the connections and are not faulty even the electrical
extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its
connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end
up with a computer error
hope
this helps
