My kenmore blender stopped blending!!!

There is a gear underneath the blender blade. This connects the blade to the motor found on the base of the blender. This gear usually get worn out specially if the load that we are giving to the blender is beyond its limit. I hope you could by a spare on one of the electric shop near or might as well consider buying a new set.

The screw that holds the mixing blade in place

Try bonding the sheared portions with Araldite. Once it is set try slowly to unscrew. OR if you can make a little nich in the embeded portion so that tip of screw driver can fix it. Then it should be easy to unscrew the sheared portion. Otherwise no other alternative but to replace the attachment.

Hand blender bottom shaft (blade attachment) leaks oily stuff

In the old days, there was a packing in certain places of certain applications. Often it looked like a piece of string, usually a grayish color, as it often was impregnated with grease. I would start with an automotive parts house, but it must be old and have old folks to help you, as young ones have no such experience. You could also try a plumber, they used some packing string. As a matter of fact, I have some in my plumbing repair parts, though I've no used it in 30 years. You might have to use this each time you use the machine. It should be not expensive. God bless your efforts.
