HI. Due to the fact that there are no number being issued with the error code, this will indicate that the main logic sector of the circuit board is damaged. All kitchen aid/whirlpool units are programmed to issue a letter, then number, when faults are present.

If you are certain that the unit is equipped with a separate touch pad, simply, gain access to the assembly, and pull the touch pad board connecting ribbon cable away form the main circuit board. Once this is done, kindly power up the unit, and observe. If the code come back, with the touch pad unplugged, this will indicate that the main circuit board is the culprit. If the code dose not come back, after the touch pad board is unplugged, this will indicate that the touch board is the faulty component.

NOTE_ If your unit has an integrated board assembly(touch pad and board are as one device), simply extract the entire board, and replaced it.
