netgear readynas nv+ 4210 problem to create and config share I have a readynas nv+ 4210 (2T) (securyty mode user) I have four shares: media, backup, utenti, prova. When I try to create a new shares it gives me this error: The paths for the shares listed below could not be found. Typically, this occurs when the ReadyNAS is unable to access the data volume. ditutti pubblica [Fri Oct 16 10:22:22 CEST 2009] I thought that the name pubblica, I try to use as name of the share, is reserved but now I can't stop this message and I can't creare a new share. So I used ad addon suggest by netgear. I obtain to review all the shares I had cancelled but if I try to delete one of this share nothing happends. I delete the share and when I reboot the storage nothing change. The wroste thing that happends is that I cannot configure the share I see. If I try to configure the nfs and the Share Access Restrictions they doesn't take effect. the client, trying mount a share with default access Read/write, receive this error: access denied by server while mounting ... With showmount -e ip number I obtain : /ditutti * ditutti is a share that I have and try to delete. If I mount another share like backup I'll never delete, everythig goes right. i mount it without problems. With the showmount command it seems: /c/backup [ip], [ip] (ip because I decided to restrict the access) If I try to create a new share, it doesn't give me any errors but the new share is not listed with the other So I decide to restore the storage with Factory defaults. I create the volume and the user I need and the share. When I config the nfs, ftp protocols for all the created share. When I try to config the ftp protocol for the share utenti i had this error: Unsuccessful mounting ftp share utenti Note I made the same things with the other two share were I had no problems. After that the share utenti is not possible to mount. With the showmount command I see: /c/pubblica [ip], [ip] /c/servizio [ip], [ip] utenti [ip], [ip] Utenti isn't in the /c/ the only difference I had. Before to proceed with the configuration of ftp and had the error i can mount utenti without problem but now ... if I try to delete it the share remain like I do nothing. I can mount the other share without problem but not the utenti's share. When I try to delete the share I can't do it also if I use the add-on of netgear. What can I do without formating or using the factory defaults? Now I have no data in the storage now but for the future I'm very interesting to solve this question.
