How to change belt on dirt devil handy zip

Hello! Below are step by step instructions to replacing the belt on your hand vac. I have also included a link to the instruction manual which has pictures as well as instructions. Really hope this helps! 1. Lift the black plug on the face of the cleaner. NOTE: BLACK PLUG MUST BE ON WHEN ATTACHMENTS ARE NOT IN USE. 2. Use belt lifter. 3. Center and raise the Hand Vac with your left hand as shown. Using your right hand, dip the belt lifter in and hook the belt around the lip of the belt lifter. Slip the belt onto the motor shaft until the belt lifter base meets the shaft. 4. To insure proper belt placement, gently turn belt lifter counterclockwise and remove. Make sure belt is pushed back on shaft. NOTE: THE BELT WILL COME OFF IF NOT PROPERLY INSTALLED. 6. To remove the belt, hold belt lifter. Hook the belt on the left side of the motor shaft, turn clockwise and pull the belt towards you to release. http://pim.ttifc.net/document/1239/

Brush not turning

Did you check the belt? The most obvious problem is that the belt has come off of the shaft or it is broken.

Dirt Devil 08130 will not run

I'm gonna guess that a wire has slipped out of the switch. Have seen it happen several times...sooo. The switches are no longer available, but you can build up the wire with solder and re-insert it into the switch and yer in business!

Hi, I have a Dirt Devil

You can pull on the tab to remove the bag, but probably a better way is to gently pull on the rubber ring that attaches the bag to the back of the vacuum body. If you don't yank and ****, it should come off without spilling the dirt. There may also be a paper bag actually catching the dirt inside the cloth bag. If there isn't, I recommend you get a package of those. They come in packs of three, and they're disposable -- instead of emptying them, you toss them and install a new paper bag.

I took my dirt devil power max/pet apart to clean.. now I can't remember how the adjustment wheels go back in ?

The best way to do this is by studying the parts diagram https://www.google.com/search?q=dirt+devil+power+max+pet+parts+diagram Or just carry it into the closest Dirt Devil Service Centre and ask them to 'service it'. It is not expensive. There are no videos showing how this is done, but the video made me smile

Dirt Devil model 103 hand held vacuum. Can you wash the bag for it in the washer.

Yes as long as you don't mind your next 3 washes of clothes to have fine dust washed into them. Just buy a new outer bag for $10 or hand wash it. https://www.evacuumbags.com/dirt-devil-plus-503-103-outer-vacuum-bag.aspx You ARE using the disposable paper bags with it?? https://www.google.com/search?q=dirt+devil+model+103+bags ..

When charging my Dirt Devil I'm getting flashing green & blue lights.

You don't supply a model number and they make quite a few! Here are all the manuals. That sounds normal to me, Green for fully charged and ready to use, Blue to say it is trickle charging. https://dirtdevil.com/pages/instructional-manuals ..

Dirt Devil stick vacuum model 083700. How do you use the attachments? Manual is not available online

That is very strange, the parts suppliers list it, but Dirt Devil have no reference. I would contact Dirt Devil and ask why? There is a model M82700 but it is a cylinder vac. The contact details are there on page one. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/229112/Dirt-Devil-M082700.html Here is a list on all the Stick Vac model manuals https://dirtdevil.com/pages/instructional-manuals This is the vacuum with all its attachments and it looks like you just remove the head and insert the hose or the tools https://www.johnnyvac.com/en/rp-upright-vacuums/dirt-devil-power-stick-vac-m083700 ..

Dirt Devil Featherlight vacuum with bag--wheel is loose/falls off because screw doesn't tighten/grip enough. Help!

All the parts are here, but the wheel and screws are obsolete. So if the screw holds the wheel and then loosens up, remove the screw, clean the threads and apply Red Loctite. It will stop the screw from loosening. If that doesn't work, get some Liquid Metal, mix it and press it into the hole, grease the threads WELL, and screw the screw in. Properly greased, you should be able to remove the screws if you need to. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/dirt-devil-085590-featherlite-upright-vacuum-parts-c-36976_37103_129641.html ..
