Try the Nike service center (go tohttp://www.nike.com/timing/ to find it) . If your watch is a metal strap as shown in the picture,then you should be able to get spare links from them. You are not alone in having this problem, so they should have a ready answer.

Your battery is most likely failing. The first thing that stops working is light and sound because those functions use the most energy! When your battery voltage is below 2.5 volts the light will stop working!

If you still have those nuts and did not loose them, visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask to tighten them properly. Watchmakers are using special tool, so they can tighten them very tight. If those nuts are already gone, then you have to visit your nearest Nike dealer and ask for help. Nike do not supply parts to private owners.

I am very sorry to hear that news, just dreadful :>( I was trying to find out who actually makes this watch, but there is no data. Normally you send to the maker and they repair it. My late wife bought me a Seiko, and although I live in Canada, I send it to the UK where it was purchased and where the service centre is for servicing. you could ask Nike who was contracted to produce it? My guess is Casio, because it has the Casio look to it. One thought I have is that the battery that was put in it was the wrong type or it was inadvertently replaced with a battery out of another watch that came in for repair. I would have another battery put in it and see what happens.
