Hi, This problem usually occurs when the motor for the player is already defective. You have it checked and most probably replace with the new motor. I have experienced it before and the technician told me the most of CD/DVD issues like this is caused by a defective motor.

not a problem. This is a self contained unit. All it needs is a power hook up.

this may have a broken ribbon between the unit and screen, if you have had it a long time this may well be the fault, very dificult to get new ones sorry.

Fiddling with any electronic eqpt makes some parts getting, say, accdtly such that it is activated/touched for the 1st time ever. & made to last 24x7 H during it's 'life'~time'. but we always think the "WoW"!!!!!! and overlook the basic--------operation, in this.
Fiddling invariably produces unexpected behavior and .......m!

Your problem lies with power.Rept'dly or casual fiddling is bound to result in consuming some power however small(+ve3V) since we do carry it round. pl don't ask ?, it's a fact !

"cos w/o power or energy nothing happens( a miss-concept, firmly ingrained in homoSapians) and things like battery has a precalculated life-span. if u use battery in this unit, then that's priority-1
-2 is that any metal to metal where lead is added to increase (current)flow resulting in loose connections+sparks(discharge) till its coated with it but invisible to the eye, layer upon layer,resulting such non conductivity of power,but can be rectified by making snug tight connections(manually).
The DVD units power input via the set, due to the above &/or bending of a single pin thru which involves power trnsmission. So get it cofirmed & rectified by anyone who has the know-how, -- how about yourself--- thats the satsfaction, to finish what u yourself let it happen & the finger tips are itching/twitching to finish.

Is it FM Modulated or direct connect?
Is it on the proper station?
Did u buy used or have installed?
Could be many reasons. Has to be troubleshot in person.

Yes I have had this problem , and have traced it to both pc leads between main unit and screen with some tracks of the leads open circut due to kinking

If you purchased an extended service plan from Best Buy, then it's not voided just because they don't carry the product any more. Mobile electronics change yearly; almost nothing that was sold two years ago is still available. If your local store won't help you, contact the corporate offices at 1-888-Best Buy. They may not be able to replace the unit with the same model, but they are legally responsible for either repairing it or replacing it with something comparable.

Sounds like a fualty amp to me.

go into settings and change the regon to default if that dont work try each one till it does

That cables should be connected properly in each corresponding colors (colors by colors).
Then tell me what will happen...If that cable connection did not work just add a comment..
