Cosco Playpen

My wife and I have the same model for visits by our granddaughter. She was having the same trouble as were you and, like you, we did not have instructions.

I'm happy to share with you what I found to close the model up for storage. It may not be the same as what the manufacturer envisioned but it worked for us.

-- With the pad removed from the inside of the Pack n Play, pull up on the red handle so as to loosen the legs;

-- Next, you will find there is a big button in the middle of each of the long sides of the Pack n Play. Start with either long side. You will have to press very hard on either side of that button; I found it helpful to use both hands, one pressing on the outside of the playpen, the other hand pressing on the inside of the playpen. Pressing these together will loosen the long support arm at the open top of the Pack n Play.

-- Do the same for the opposite long side.

-- You will also do the same, one button, one side at a time, for each of the two short sides of the Pack n Play.

-- Now pull up on the red handle in the middle, and guide the four corners so they meet and close.

-- Cover.

I found the buttons may not have fully allowed the support arms to collapse, thus blocking the Pack n Play from folding down completely. If so, try pressing the button again (both the outside and the inside at the same time).

By the way, I've found it to be an exercise in frustration in trying to obtain an instruction manual from the manufacturer. I'm very disapopinted with this purchase and in particular this company.

Hope this helps!

How do you disassemble the Cosco Funsport Play

Steps to disassemble.1) Pull up on the loop in the center.2) Flip the Funsport upside down3) Pick a side and pull the corners up slightly while pushing the center down. Sides can only move up about an inch.4) Press the release catch in the center of the bar.5) Pull the center of the bar up while holding the release catch in. Sometimes you have to wiggle the catch in and out to get it to release.6) Repeat for each side.7) After each side is collapsed squeeze everything together.8) Place the cover on the floor black side down.9) Put the Funsport on the cover with the plastic corners flush with the edge of the cover. The wheels should be sticking out the bottom.10) Wrap the cover around the Funsport and secure the velcro straps.

How do I fold down

Generally with the Graco's and others I've used, you have to remove the bottom liner (that they lay on), then pull the bottom up, then push a button on the sides to fold up each one. This is a safety precaution so your child doesn't find a switch and break down one of the sides, either escaping or getting hurt.

Hope this helps!!

Comment or Thumbs up me if it does.

I cannot release the top bars on the Cosco

  • This is a safety feature.
  • When picking up the playpen you need pull pull the middle clear up first and then the side rails can be released.
  • When you set it up again make sure you set the rails up first and then push down the middle.

  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Cosco funsport pay pen. cannot

Sometimes you have to lift the bottom floor all the way up pulling the sides in.
Also, some of the side latches are double jointed so you may have 2 latches to press.

We cannot get the hinges

Try pushing the hinge more as if you are locking it in place, before you squeeze to release.
i.e. If when the hinge releases it goes 'up' - push 'down' firmly on the hinge, squeeze to release and then pull up.
