Your best bet is to contact Numark directly. I don't recall the optics used, but I think that this unit uses Sony optics. If the tray is not working correctly, it can be a belt or a mis-alignment. Ca you describe the problem you are having?

Hello, How would I repair and find parts for a
What I do is first look on ebay for the same item in spares or repair. Buy it cheap and swop out the damaged/broken bits.
If that fails I download the service manual. Can take some google effort, but it can be found. By using the service manual, you will be able to repair and replace any part of your cdn95, assuming your not affraid of a little work and electronics.
If you are, then I suggest a visit to your nearest electronics repair shop is in order
While playing, Player 'freezes' so all functions fail
hmmm - slide the lid back and put a meter across the 3 power transistors that should be on the power supply board - seen from the top. (do this with the power off..:)) You may find once these warm up - which doesn't take long, they are breaking down
On my Numark CDN88s I have replaced both
Hi - may be a simple solution - Have the ribbon cables between the laser sony laser pickups and the main board been replaced - These fail 'very well' and can be impossible to see the brake

If this is new, don't waste any time on it. Return it for exchange. It is rare, but sometimes the optics fail. This should be under warranty.

Left jog wheel on CDN *88 remote controller not working
Hi tmal004,
I don't have a technical manual for this unit, but I have worked on these before. They are fairly easy to dismantle, take care to apply even pressure when removing the jog wheel, use something like a butter knife (2 off) to slide under opposing sides of the wheel and gently prise up. Spare parts for this unit are available directly from Numark, however you can source them from elsewhere. you'll probably need to replace the transducer.
Good Luck.
My numark 5000fx lights up when turned on but does not register my technics on any of the channels
If your Numark 5000FX mixer is not registering your Technics turntable on any of the channels, there are a few things you can try:
- Check your cables: Make sure that your RCA cables are plugged in correctly and securely. If you are using a phono preamp, make sure that it is powered on and connected properly.
- Check your switch settings: Make sure that the switches on the back of the mixer are set correctly for the type of input you are using (line or phono).
- Check your levels: Make sure that the input levels are turned up and that the fader for the channel you are using is not muted or turned all the way down.
- Check your ground wire: If you are using a turntable, make sure that the ground wire is connected properly to the mixer.
If none of these steps work, there may be an issue with either the turntable or the mixer. Try testing the turntable on a different mixer or testing a different turntable on the Numark mixer to determine which component is causing the issue. If the mixer is the issue, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
