Please help! Jamo SUB 300 subwoofer still blows (0.8A) fuses after replacing a faulty thermistor, despite a high ohms reading directly across AC mains terminals on the board. What is causing the fuse to blow as if a dead short is present? I don't know where to find a schematic cct diagram for it.
i have a jamo 250 sub.the blue light is working.when i connect the jack to the left line IN according to the manual it makes a sound as well.but seems not working.is it related to the fuse????i know the fuse box.but i dont know how to remove the fuse to check.pls help me out.my receiver is onkyo tx-sr 608
Jamo Sub300. No power. No lights Replaced the blown fuse (230V 800mA). Box shows no life what so ever. Could not find the wiring diagram to check the power supply unit.
sound faliure i connected jamo subwoofer sub 300 the power is on but the speaker(woofer) is not working. There is no response shown in the speaker and it is not working
tweeters and horns need to be replaced and want have a pair of jamo d365 speakers, with a blown teeter and horn and need to know where to get replacements that are the same size fitting and power to go back in and how much it will cost for the horn and the teeter
my jamo d115 speaker tweeter distorts or rattels when any serious bass kicks in, how do you stop this?w this only happens when bass is very low and on certain recordings, especially on movies
Try a 2.2 MF 50V cap should do the trick.
Otherwise I have seen this problem before.You just need to replace the tweeters.
The originals are no longer available but you can get some generic cone tweeter that will fit.
To be honest there is nothing special about the original tweeters so any 4-6 ohm tweeter of the same size and shape will do
I have a Jamo SW-410E subwoofer and it is not powering up. Ive checked the fuse and its good. What could of caused this problem.Do I need to get another transformer or is this just a transformer?
Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation.
All speakers stopped working just after my son pressed some buttons on our absence. what could be the problem and how to overcome it?
* Changing inputs
* Pushing mute
* Toggling the speaker set (shown as Speaker A and Speaker B)
The push button springs on the back of each of my acoustimass 5 series iii speakers will not bounce back. They now seam permanently depressed and the speaker wire connections won't lock in place and just falls out. I couLd see having the problem with one but not both. Anyone have a solution?
Mission m73 with a woofer which seems to have gone dead I have had a pair of Mission m73 speakers for about 10 years, and noticed yesterday that the left channel woofer isn't emitting any sound. I've checked the connections which were OK, swapped the speakers around and right works where left didn't and left still doesn't work in right's position, so I've now dismantled the woofer to check visible damage and try the AAA battery pop test... and I think the woofer is definitely dead. I've been reading on forums this morning and people tend to say that woofers don't just die like that, and the tweeter will normally die first... So what's my problem, and how do I solve it? Please? Can i replace the woofer? They seem hard to source on internet?
Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D PRO Active 18" Sub The power comes on Limit LED flashes then shuts down over and over Have 3 of these Behringer EUROLIVE B1800D PRO Active Subs. All have got to have about the same faults. 1 I sent back with same problem 9 months ago. It didn't power on at all. They replaced under Warranty, now it does the same thing again. It was $180 to ship it to a repair center, and I was just send another replacement. I was able to catch one of them just shutting down and restarting over n over...problem will end up with a dead speaker like the rest, but aleast I can better check for overheated components and do some voltage n resistance checks. I know in circuit resistance isn't the best but removing some components is hard. No diagram so no test points. I notice a lot of retail store are now selling as is "needs work" on some for lower price. But this problem has to be known.... has to be a fix. "Don't flame me and say buy another brand" I'm know storys and cases that have been going on for over 5 years. I have others, these really do have awesome power for the buck. Funny thing is you can't find more than a couple of case on the web...and I'v spent a long time looking, then just to see people bad mouth someone for asking. My speaker is fine, checks ~8ohms. By the way, if you warranty is out, n ur stuck trying to find the problem. Be very carefully, they have caps in the circuit that will hold a dangerous charge for a good while after being unplugged, and if you start isolating each board even longer. There is 3 boards, one I would say it a power filter surge protecter n one the one I have there is a ~7ohm green resister that gets hot as hell checking when it is cycling on n off thats really the only main then heating up. that board sends 120vac up to the middle "I'm going to call it the Amp Board" all in board resistance checks read ok, at least I see no opens or shorts, Caps looks great no puffed up tops or leaks and all atleast seems to charge n discharge when checked in place, no burn smell anywhere. The board does charge up to...Thats the dangerous one. It feeds what I'm going to call a "Control an Crossover board" where Input n Output are at, as well as Thur jacks and also...Output jacks that are only passing I think 100hz and above that is for like a Powered mid. That circuit puzzles me, I wish someone knew of the problem with these speaker. I found to shorted transisters on that board, T1 and T4. But normally a chain of components fail. That board is connected to the center "Main Amp board" via a control cable and a set of HV "Blk+Yel+Red" wires, and yes they DO have Voltage. I'm looking for someone that's run into these problems. I know if replace T1 and T4 chances are I'll still miss something...they didn't short all by their self. Maybe I need to replace them with better ones, once I cross reference the numbers, but I dought n ECG books going to be much good. Juss if you have any knowledge of these speaks and problems please reply. My lasst option is making them into passive ones. MCS 160 Boston Subwoofer ZD3 Zener Diode Value My Boston Subwoofer would not power on. I took the unit apart and found that the Zener Diode located at ZD3 on the power supply board is fried. I'm need to know the value so I can replace it. Any help would be fantastic.
sub woofer, duck call noise at start up! Infinity SW12 sub was shipped and damaged slightly. now second after start up from standby it makes a duck call noise that last one second. Then works OK. Thanks, Tom A.
Contact the seller and the shipper and have it replaced. You wont be happy unless you do. You will always wonder about sound quality.
What is the make and model of speaker? Are they powered or stand alone. IF they are powered by a plug in power supply, the supply has issues. IF they are not powered, there could be a problem with the amplifier or a loose ground on one of the wires that feed the amp
