This sounds like a bad battery which is affecting the time held in the BIOS. If there is a battery that can be replaced on the motherboard do this.

Set the boot order to DVD/CD first, in the bios. Insert your OS disc and tat is it. Follow the prompts. Or press F11 or F8, if the recovery partition is still there, recover from that.

I for one do not understand what you are asking about. I have heard of the ratios that involve numbers, but not of ratios that involve geometric figures. Would you care to explain what you want? Please do not multiply questions. If there is not enough information to answer the question, posting the same question again will not bring about a meaningful response.

To figure out what is wrong there are only three things that can go wrong from easy to fix to another.
LCD cable and connections
inverter board
Also remove every single removable components like ram, hardisk, power supply cables, data cables..
Best of luck

Can you look in your device manager and tell me if it reads something simular to SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio?

Then when you look at the driver details version number, check http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/Product/inspiron-1525 you might wanna enter your exact model number or serial to verify but make sure it is the same one.

If not there is also a diagnostic to download in case that driver doesn't seem to work.

The two most common input devices for the Dell Inspiron 1525 are the keyboard and mouse.

Although the mouse is an almost indispensable tool in navigating through programs and websites with your laptop, the keyboard offers quick shortcuts to open and manipulate files and information.

An unresponsive keyboard can indicate a deeper problem and require troubleshooting to narrow down the cause and find the proper solution.

Laptops are collections of complicated computer components and sometimes a file or two can become damaged and affect the way the machine behaves.

The first action to perform when things aren't working right is to reboot. When your laptop restarts, it essentially resets all the files and programs to the "starting" position and corrects any small errors that may have occurred during the last session.

Eliminate Conflicting Hardware

With an almost unlimited number of accessories, programs and software available for your 1525, it's possible something else installed on or connected to your computer is interfering with its ability to properly communicate with the keyboard.

Shut down the laptop and disconnect everything attached to it.

Power up and test the keyboard.

If it works, start reconnecting each accessory, one by one, until the keyboard stops working. You've found your culprit.

Try External Keyboard

To determine whether the problem exists in the keyboard itself a hardware problem or with the software that controls keyboard function, attach an external keyboard and see if it works.

If it does, the problem with your 1525's keyboard may lie in the keyboard itself, such as a loose cable.

If the external keyboard doesn't work, the problem may lie with the operating system's software that controls keyboard function, such as the drivers.

Update Software

Sometimes a laptop will stop functioning properly due to out-of-date drivers or other software. Always check Microsoft's website for any updates available for your operating system and check Dell's website for updates to the drivers and BIOS installed on your system.

In many cases, installing the latest updates will help correct issues and keep your system working smoothly and efficiently.

Check for Damage

Physical damage, such as a liquid spill and short circuits, can prevent the keyboard from operating properly.

Any amount of liquid spilled on your keyboard can cause a short circuit to the components and a sticky beverage such as juice or soda can cause the keys to stick and become unresponsive.

Clean the spilled liquid from under the keyboard fix sticky keys.

Laptop repair shops can do this for you if the task is out of your comfort zone.

Hope this helps

Download this file to your computer and burn it to a CD:

If you don't have an app that can easily burn .iso files to a CD then get this awesome little FREE app and install it:

The Bootable CD you burn should fix your computer. It's really easy to use. Just follow the instructions from page 15 to page 33 in this pdf:

You basically want to update the virus definitions and select all of the checkable boxes to scan and run the scan and then allow it to delete or quarantine the bad files.

Contact whoever sold you the new battery and ask for a replacement, or for their technical support, (if they have support).

There are several Reasons.
  1. Your Processor heated up more than the expected limit. Often caused by a trouble with Heat-Sink(and or the Copper tunnel if have one inside), Short Circuit. You have to check the Processor and its Socket.
  2. CPU fan is not functioning: You have to check whether the fan works properly (with a good speed - rpm).
  3. Your Sensor has a fault. You have to check the Sensor.

Remove 1 stick of ram and turn on, if no! take out the second one and put back the first, and power on, if okay you know the 1 stick is bad. Remove main battery and power on, "long shot" if no change chances are it is a motherboard issue.

Sorry, the error code indicates IDE ERROR: status which means that your CD drive is bad or the circuit which controls it (the motherboard).
