Hunter 33202 Humidifier Questions & Answers
Noise
The Hunter 33202 uses a recirculating pump to keep the aluminum mesh wicks (filters) wet. There is a vinyl hose which runs from the pump outlet to the top of the main unit (you will need to lift the main unit off the base to see any of this, much less do anything to fix the noise). The top of the hose meets the diffuser, which has several small holes to drain into that V-shaped double trough (located directly above the two wicks) which has larger drain holes on either side. If any of the holes in the diffuser or the trough become clogged, the other holes will tend to release a higher volume of water, which could lead to that running faucet sound. The clogs are easy to dislodge-- they're usually mineral deposits from the water. Another likely cause is the filters becoming clogged from dust that's being sucked in from the fan. Easy fix, also-- remove the wicks every week or so and thoroughly rinse them under running water.
Cleaning the filter
Here is the link for your manual:

How to clean your filter:
The PermaWick™ Filter should be cleaned in a vinegar and water solution to remove any mineral buildup. Place in a solution of one (1) gallon of water and eight (8) ounces of undiluted white vinegar. Allow the filter to soak for 20 minutes.
After soaking, rinse it several times with clean water. Place the PermaWick™ Filter in a location where it can drip dry while you clean the other parts of your humidifier.
They say the frequency that you will have to clean your filter depends on yoru quality of water. The harder the water you have the more you will have to clean it.
Good Luck.

Try using WD-40 or sewing machine oil on the bit that the blades are independent from the motor usually just a small opening that you can try to spray some lubricant in there which will reduce friction and noise by lubing up the bearing and decreasing wear if that helps you will then know what the underlying issues are and if you need further action

A pair of wires should go to some power source...and pass through the humidisat (not thermostat). The clicking sound you will get whether there is power there or not. Try and trace those wires to a power source off the furnace.off a little metal unit called a transformer. new home. it should work unless they left the wires off for the owners to hook up...or for some electrician to do the final hook up. It its a new home, don't be afraid to call the builders. They are expecting you.
