Try monitor on different computer to isolate the anomaly. If it works fine you have an issue with your current computer. If it doesn't then the issue is with the monitor.

My monitor won't stop blinking.
You could have a faulty inverter board or faulty CCFL lamp which can cause the screen to flash.

There will either be a menu driven volume control or physical volume buttons. Also make sure you have an audio cable plugged in from the monitor to the computer. It will typically be a lime green port on both. Connected by a 3.5mm head phone jack

You need to Set the Desktop Display Settings to match those advised by the monitor... in other words, your desktop's resolution settings aren't supported by that monitor, so right click on desktop, choose settings, and change the resolution (1440 x 900 ) and set the Refresh Rate (60 Hz).

I would go ahead and boot into safe mode where you say it does work and then take a look. See how it detected it...ie look in device manager and see if it picked it up by it's true brand/type etc. Check the settings both of the display and on the envision itself. Check the resolution selection. It's probably picking it up as a lower res. but when it boots into reg windows may be trying to run at full res and perhaps that's what it won't do. Check to see what driver it's using. It may need the specific driver from envision and not the generic driver. It could also be a bad pin on the envision itself.
If you have another computer you can hook it up to, do that to make sure the envision is working. That way you can deduce which is the problem, the monitor or the setup in your laptop.
The on/off button on my
Sounds like one of the buttons is jammed or broken (stuck). Try pressing each button one at a time. Does one not click or feel like the others? You might need to pry at it a little to unstick it. Let me know if that works or not.

I keep pressing menu and it tell me OSD Locked?
This has most likely annoyed many of you at some point. You turn on your monitor one day and see a jeering message telling you something about an "OSD Lockout". It doesn't allow you to change any of your monitors settings, including the setting intended to turn off this message. While I've only seen this error on HP monitors I know that others have encountered it on other brands as well. The fixes I provide should work on those monitors too. (Note: OSD stands for On Screen Display.)
Fix One:Plug in the monitor and power it up. Hold down the Power button until you get a message saying "OSD Unlocked". If the problem persists after OSD is unlocked then unplug the monitor from the wall, wait 20 seconds and try again.
Fix Two:Turn on the monitor and hold down the Menu button for 10-20 seconds. This should unlock the OSD.
Fix Three:Turn off the monitor, press down the Menu button and then turn on the monitor. Wait 10-20 seconds. This should unlock the OSD.
Fix Four:The Menu button may be stuck in a pressed in position. To get it "unstuck" you'll usually need to open up the monitor. This could be tricky unless you know what you're doing. Unfortunately there are too many models of monitor for me to provide detailed instructions. If you have warranty this is where you want to contact the manufacturer.

Monitor displays "no signal" when powered on.
If it has the standard VGA cable just go to your local electronics store and purchase a new VGA cable and all should be fine. I would take the old cable with you that way you are replacing the cable with the exact same type of cable.
