K, bust out the schematics here guys! History: -TV is 14 months old, just out of warranty... -Last three months, picture was losing hdmi siignal (going to a digital still). This was believed to have been the fact Time Warner has a RG-58 single cable providing for six apartments (weak digital cable signal). -Last week, tv would shutoff with a flashing red light automatically. Required off then of of tv via power button, remote was dead. Did this several occassions. -Two days ago, tv died while watching it. Power off via button is flashing red light to steady red. Power on via button is flashing red to solid blue. Background lights inop, no "ghost" picture on lcd (flashlight test). No sound. Remote does not respond. I originally believed this to be a power supply, so here is my troubleshooting: 9v DC at pin0s 1&4 of inverters (e206453 v144), no output detected on any on the inverters. All fuses ohm ok. 24, 12, & 5 v DC all present at power board. Fuse ohms ok there is approx 5k present on the on/off leads of tv controller and the inverter, but no change is present when selecting power on or off. At the DET & DIM leads there's about 14k ohms at all times. It's my belief that the controller and inverter boards are remaining in standby, as the power on/off leads do not change ohms/volts with power on or off. I can only believe (without a wiring schematic) that the power board areproviding a switching ground via the on/off leads, and that is missing, requiring a new power board. No visual indications or smells of bad components. Anybody have a schematic or can tell me if a switching signal is missing on these boards and how to verify what is bad here. Any help appreciated.
