When i plug the dazzel dvd recorder into my laptop
Hey there. There are a few things that inorder to help you answer your problem I need to know:
1. What are you trying to record from (DVD, Xbox, etc.)?
2. What T.V. are you using?
2. What is your set up for recording (what cords, where those cords connect to, and essentially how you are able to get the image onto your laptop)?
Please message me back with this info and I will attempt to help you in anyway I can :)
My dazzle wont work with skype?
I managed to get it to work by doing the following:
1. Installing the program and plugins/drivers included on the disk that comes with the device
2. Updating my Skype program to the newest version
3. Going into the Skype Webcam options menu and setting my Webcam input device to the the Dazzle DVD recorder (or what ever type you have) by selecting it in the drop-down selection box
I hope that this works for you :)
Dvd recorder does not show in list
When I use Capture from video or camera I do not get the image from my video camera. What do I need to do to import my Hi8 videos to my computer?
Set recording time
Well, i don't have much knowledge with your software but I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the program after running a registry cleaning. If there's no problem with the region coding or activation, this must be the problem with the codec or perhaps file corruption. It's only my opinion since most corrupted programs are fixed after re-installation.
Good luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

Make sure you use the correct toilet paper for your OS
When i try recording with sound my windows movie
You may be asking too much from your computer.
Does it have enough ram / hard disc space.
Video encoding takes a powerfull system to do it smoothly.
Check the minimum specs for using the program, remember, these specs are just to be able to run the program, you will need nearly double the power to do it smoothly
I insalled the software, but I can't get the
I think your PC is drawing attention to the difference between USB 1.1 and USB 2 ports, USB2 being much faster.
It wouldn't do this if you had USB2 ports on your PC.
Now working on the premise that your copying video tape to your PC rather than copying video files to your PC.
Other than rebuilding your PC or buying a new one will USB2 ports, you could
1) If its a laptop, use the firewire port. Just buy a firewire cable.
2) If its deskstop, buy a firewire PCI card (Not much, try ebay). You'll also need a firewire cable.
3) Carry on using the kit that you've already got, its just going to take a lot longer.
A final thought comes to mind, especially if the process is to copy tape to dvd.
I've have friends have no end of problems using these Dazzle and similar products in conjunction with a PC to make a DVD copy. The big issue being lip sync problems.
The way I prefer, and much more reliable is to daisy chain a
Camcorder/VHS recorder to a DVD recorder with a hard drive and finally a TV for monitoring.
Press play on the camcorder/VHS and record on the DVD player.
Once complete, edit on the DVD player and then write to DVD.
Pinnacle S 10.7 DVD plays for for 15 min plus and then image free
Unfortunately I do not know what a prosumer is (do you mean producer?) but what I would do is produce an image file rather than write direct to disc and then use nero or imgburn to burn the disc.(I prefer Imgburn and not just because it is a free open source prog).
Give it a go and get back if the problem remains.
The video and audio dont match when I play the DVD...
Hi and Welcome to Fixyah,
Audio and Video is out of sync when play the DVD, Suggest for that is go ahead and disconnect your dazzle and reconnect to another usb port and then Click on Start>Control panel>system>hardware>device manager>sound and video games controller> right click on video capture device and uninstall it. Restart your computer. Go ahead and then re-record again.
