Maybe, the NB672 remote is not an universal remote and the codes aren't the same. It came with select Magnavox DVD/VHS players, including the DV225MG. This remote also worked with a few other Funai manufactured DVD/VHS players from around 2008. The Philips DVP3962/37 was also manufactured by Funai but came with the RC-5110 remote control. Basically you need to be able to change the format from analogue to digital and while you could project the film onto a screen and film it with a digital video camera, it clearly wouldn't be satisfactory for several films and there is an inevitable loss of quality. It would be more satisfactory to hire or purchase a specialist machine to do this such as found in the link below or make use of a (widely advertised) professional service.
