we stock these at grill-repair.com but i'm not sure if i'm allowed to say that on this site. most barbecues use the qcc handwheel because the cylinder valve indicates upgraded safety features required by law. however, foreign barbecues and some high-BTU appliances will still use the older pol attachment with the male reverse threads because the seal is much tighter and the finer threads make it impossible to accidentally cause a leak by cross-threading the attachment.

Each Venturi Pipe is held in place by the spring clip clearly visible from below (2 total). From behind, simply pull down / backwards on the clip until it pops out of the slot and hangs loose. Repeat for other pipe. Then the burner lifts out by sliding backwards / upwards.

Mike. I'd really like to help you with your Char-Broil Grill problem. But, there is no "glass" on the grill to replace. Could you be a little more specific on what you're referring to, as "glass" ?
Thanks for choosing FixYa.
Char-broil spares new burner.
Hi Gary...
I am sorry but you will need to put in the model number of your grill before I can help you.
I went to the Char-broil webpage and talked to one of the reps there thru a chat window and he said you need to have the model number to be sure to get the right part, otherwise you would have to risk using a Universal Burner Unit that may require modification to function in your grill.
I will give you the Char-Broil webpage on this webpage you will see an "exploded view" of your grill and off to the right you will see a window that you can enter either a part number and or model number to locate your parts.

Something chewed on the regulator hose I need to
Generally when you buy a new hose it comes as one unit with the regulator built in. Remove it, and take it to the store where you are going to buy the replacement. Home Depot and Lowes carry these replacement hoses.
We just used the grill
Are you saying the ignitor won't light the burner(s), but you can hear gas going thru the burners?
If that's the case, try match lighting the burners. That's a good way to find out if you are really getting enough gas for combustion.
If after match lighting it, you find that burner flames remain low, even when they're turned to High. Here's what you need to do:
1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF.
2. Disconnect the hose from the tank and wait 5 minutes.
3. Reconnect the hose to the tank and open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow Motion,
slow).
4. Once the tank valve is fully open, try lighting the burner farthest away from the tank first and turn
it to High. Did the burner light and the flame height looks normal? If so, light the remaining
burner(s) the same way. Do all the flame heights look normal? If so, you solved the problem.
Remember to always turn the tank valve ON Very, Very Slowly.
Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Pleas let me know and Happy Grilling, Newby!!

the wire is supposed to connect with a small round slip-on terminal lug. They often brake at the lug, so you are left with just a hanging wire.
Look inside the grill at the burner- somewhere you will find a small metal probe pointing towards the burner. Once you find the probe, look underneath for the other end. This is where the wire is supposed to go.
Good Luck, and Thank You for using FixYa!
How can i change the ignitor
It depends on which part of igniter you want to replace or the entire igniter? The answer to that question can be determined by the specific problem is you have with the ignitor. In some cases it doesn't need to replaced, just simply cleaned.
Please get back to me through the comment section of this reply, so I may further help you.
How do i remove the battery on my char broil
This is kind of tough to explain without pictures, but here goes:
You may be able to just look on the underside of the ignitor and replace it or them without removal.
If not, behind the ignitor, on the other side of the panel it is mounted on, there is a round threaded part that holds the ignitor in place. You can (hopefully) use your fingers and just lefty-loosy that part off, releasing the ignitor. It will come out the front side of the plate it's mounted to easily, and you will see where the battery is located. Replace, and then just screw that threaded part back on tightly.
Hope this helps.
