20 Most Recent MTX SW2 Subwoofer Questions & Answers

There's an overload caused by a semi-conductor that is acting as if was a piece of wire. If you have an Ohm Meter and there are transistors or diodes present you can check them. They will show up on the meter as if you had touched the test probes together. If it's an IC that's gone they often have cracks or damage or even have burnt. It's harder to test IC's, but the bigger the device and any on heatsinks should be top of your suspect list. If in doubt replace it!

Try the fuse first then if no problems alls good , but if it still hums it could be the crossover board inside , if you love your sub like i love mine you will just replace the crossover if need be . Smirf 617

there is an underlying cause for the fuse to blow. if something shorts out you would rather a 40 cent peice goes then the unit causing a fire. disassembly is require... look for obvious burnt parts first.

Hello Dilum, make a test to control the sound level of the speakers connected to your harman kardon, you must press for more than two seconds the test key that is on the front panel, in the set of keys at the bottom
With the Test, you will be able to check the volume of each speaker individually, this is explained in the user manual on page 4 Item 9
If with the test, the level is fine, then you would have some problem in the recording or the program you are listening to
I hope I can solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil
Saludos Franco Dosil
