Door warning says hi temp, door adjar, light out
Good Afternoon Floyd,
I see that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU17K1CW, stating "HI TEMP" and that the door ajar light is out. The model number that has been provided does not show that it has a "door ajar" light. What I recommend would be giving your appliance a hard reset, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. If you are still having trouble with the HI TEMP light showing, please respond back with your model number which is shown inside your refrigerator on either the right or left hand wall so I may better assist you. Hope this is helpful.

Frigidaire ffu1767fwo (power spike) does not turn on can it be fixed
Hello tom97420 - Was the freezer unplugged during the power outage? It is best to be unplug unit and wait for the power to come back on, turn control to off, plug the unit in and reset control to factory suggested setting. Do not open freezer door unnecessarily if freezer is off for several hours. Make sure the freezer plug is tightly pushed into electrical outlet and not plugged into a GFI. Is the temperature control in the OFF position? Set temperature controls to proper setting suggested by owners guide or set to the halfway point and adjust it up or down as needed. If any suggestions are ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately. From what you have described the power loss could have possibly caused a communication problem with the control board, temperature control or wiring harness.
Tempt setting
Hi - Modern freezers have increased storage capacity and keep more even temperature that may require the compressors to run longer but use less energy. Was the unit disconnected previously for any reason? If so, freezer requires a minimum of 4 hours to cold down completely. Confirm that the temperature control is not set too cold and that the door is not being open frequently. A dirty, cracked, worn or poorly fitted door gasket can allow warm air to enter the unit causing it to have to run longer to remove the warm air. Leaks in the door seal will cause freezer to run longer in order to maintain desired temperature. Cleaned the gasket, if it is too damage then it will need to be replace. You can check and see if the door seal is bad by, placing a dollar between the gasket and cabinet. Check to see if the door is being blocked by anything stopping it from closing properly. If nothing is stopping the door then replace gasket. Keep in mind that there should also be at least 4-6 in of air space on all sides of the unit. If freezer is built in or has items stored on top that cover the unit, the can cause long run times, high temperature in the freezer and premature failure to the unit. Do not block the toe grille on the lower front of the unit. Sufficient air circulation is essential for the properly operation of your freezer, about 3 inches around the unit.
My compressor is really hot
If the compressor is almost too hot to touch, then you have a concern and need a repair technician. It is normal for the compressor to be a little warm, but not too much where you cannot keep your hand there.
I have this freezer and it is forming ice on and
Does your freezer seem to be reaching around zero degrees. Second does your freezer have its condensing coil under it or on the back and is it clean. If the coils are not clean it can not disapate its heat effectively and will continue to run. If the coils are clean and the door seal is in good shape doesnt have to be perfect your unit may be low on freon. When a unit first gets low it will run all the time and actually get colder for a while then it will start loosing its ability to cool at all. The ice around the door can be caused because of air leaking in or just excess moisture in the cabinet due to a lot of new items added. I hope this helps
