Acer PD726W Projector Questions & Answers
We have an Acer PD
Alot of people are having image quality problems with there projectors. I had a similar problem recently. You simply need to get it cleaned. Sometimes there is a high dust build up inside the optical prism of a projector which distorts the image over time.
I had mine cleaned out by TP Matrix Projector repairs after there were lots of coloured dots on the image.
They gave a free quote and then the service was quite a decent price in comparison to others.
have it checked out for a free quote and see what they can do. there number is 0161 626 4067.

Acer PD726 Menu doesn't work
Try hooking up an active video source before you try the menu. I have the same projector, and it's a pain in the a$$ to work with. I've had problems with mine defaulting to wireless even with a d-sub connection present. If you disable the wireless to try to stop it, it goes black, and the menu won't come up. I usually hood a DVD composite source to the unit with a dvd playing, then I can get to the menu.
Problem playing dvd
Wireless signal level may be low, have you tried moving the sending source closer to the receiver?
If that fixes it make sure the transmitter has a clear shot to the receiver.
If thats not it try connecting directly to rule out anything else but the wireless.
Make sure the wireless is not over heating.
Also are you playing the DVD with the computer? does it play fine on the computer alone?
If none of that helps please elaborate on your setup. and is the video simply synched wrong or is the video jumping and jittery as well as out of sync?

Hi there
You'll have to settle for the ordinary Composite input on the Projector.
You do get a scart to composite convertor from most good PC & AV shops.
