1. Use the supplied USB cable to connect the Walkman to the Computer.
2. Disconnect all other USB devices if you have connected to avoid conflict.
3.Connect the Walkman to the other USB ports on the Computer.
4.Check whether the USB Driver is installed in the Computer or if it is corrupted.
You can check whether the USB Driver is corrupted or not by following steps below(only for Windows Operating System).
Right-click on MyComputer icon and select "Manage".
Then, select Device Manager at the left plane.
Then check whether any "Unknown device" or "?" or "!" is listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers at the bottom of the right pane.
If there is so, then right-click on it and select uninstall.
This will un-install the USB Driver.
Then, un-plugg the USB cable and plug-it in.
Now, the Walkman should be recognized as a removable device in My Computer.

If the issue persists, then connect the Walkman to a different Computer to check whether the issue is with the Computer or the Walkman.

If the issue persists even with different Computer, then try resetting the Walkman by pressing the RESET button located at its bottom. You can use any pin or any sharp pointed object to reset it.
Then connect back the Walkman to check whether it works.

If the issue persists you may try using a different compatible USB cable.

Well you should have removed the battery and let it dry for days to even have a chance. If you still had moisture in it and tried turning it on your probably out of luck. I would still try to remove the battery let a fan blow on it for at least 3 days and try from there. Most likely you will just have to junk it and replace it.

can you connect to pc (USB)..if yes do can (in my computer, click on it) you see the mp3 files (or at least have all the mp3 on the pc already) come on say yes you have all the mp3 files on pc...Yea...(well if not this is the time to copy all the mp3 files to a temp file on pc)..ok thats done...go back to the mp3 (my computer) look for all the mp3 (hidden also) software...we are going to copy this to another folder on the pc (call it temp 2)...once this is done go back to my computer / mp3 player right click format yes format the mp3....okay it....it will yes we know erase all...this done.. go to temp 2 and copy the software back to mp3 and then copy all the mp3 files back on to it....disconnect from pc...mp3 should be like new again enjoy your crashed mp3...

very simple if it is old check power IC i think IC is sucking ur battery for other purpose means in other process & if it is new get it back where u buy this ipod becouse it is defaulted model
