you need only select Defrost in your control panel. However read your instruction manual or download from www.fitness.manualsonline.com or www. retrevo.com

From the description the problem is in one of the door switches, usually caused by food partical build up, or ware. Each switch will need to be disconnected and tested.

you will need to find the source of the burning. it could be a cheap fix or more involved depending on the component. it could be a transformer, h.v.diode, magnetron, etc. if the diode is shorted, there is a good chance magnetron is defective too.

GE Profile... | Answered on Aug 31, 2010

In all likelihood the mangnetron has failed, or perhaps even the Power Supply. or a fault that is shutting the system down for safety reasons You need to have it serviced by a reputable service centre/man. Ensure you get a firm "Quote" before proceeding, and remember these days the cost of repair can equal or exceed the price of a new one.
