Unfortunately, Memorex does not allow the changing of the region codes for their DVD players. The only company that I know of which actually advertises the ability to change the region of their players is COBY.

I was able to fix the 'NoCard" error on the Memorex 2520. On the remote control, find the "popup menu" button. This is located on the right hand side of the remote, above the pause and below right of the enter button. This button reveals a "change drive" menu. Highlight 'BD', press enter and you will be done. I am assuming that someone mistakenly changed the drive previously to "SD Card".

2. Transportation lock engaged.
3. Dirty, scratched, or defective disc.
4. Dirty or damaged objective lens.
5. Loading (mechanical) not completed reliably.
6. Damaged lens suspension or damaged lens cover preventing free movement.
7. Dirt, gummed up lubrication, or damage in sled drive mechanism.
8. Dirty/defective limit switch or sensor.
9. Defective spindle motor.
10. Spindle table height incorrectly set.
11. Bad component in optical pickup.
12. Cracks in ribbon cable to optical pickup.
13. Need to adjust servo (or less likely, optical) alignment.
14. Faulty power supply, electronics, or control logic.
15. Bad connections including missing/erratic optical deck shield.
16. External interference.

I'm sorry for the difficulties you're experiencing in playing movies from the connected USB device. As per the specification of the DVD player, the DVD player can playback MPEG-4 and WMV format videos and MP3 for audio and JPEG for Pictures. Also the Memory Size supported is 64MB to 2GB.
Please make sure that the videos and USB device that you're using meet the above specifications. You can confirm the information from the User Guide as well.

Make sure to try it with an unscratched "normal" DVD (NOT HD-DVD or BluRay!)
Also, make sure it doesn't want the DVD inserted upside-down...

wait several minut's
then connect the cable to AC
if problem exist
take it to a repair shope

sure because a cleaning disk doesnt clean the laser lens at all;you will have to clean by your self using a qtips and wood alcool ;and wipe the lens gently and dot not apply to much pressure on lens while you wipe it.
if it does nt works after that you may have to replace the lens assembly or buy a new one.

Hello K4, hi you can manually get the disk out, but you need to remove the cover. As for the power thing, you have a power supply problem, would you like to service it yourself or call a technician, If you will service it yourself, this are the things you should check:

1. fuse
2. open wirings
3. shorted or over heating rectifier diodes and voltage regulator
4. bulging filter capacitors
5. Switching regulator IC, check for the output pulse using a scope.
6. replace the bad parts, then test.

I think it is RF adapter plugs into TV and cables FROM Player, drive, or go into the RF Modulator, usually.
