Audiovox PVS33116 Player Questions & Answers
The battery died. Can I purchase a new one can I
hello,
you can purchase a new battery from an electronic shop close to you.
try to charge the battery for a while, then test it if it will work without being plugged to a power supply.
you can also use you audiovox PV33116 player without the battery, but you should take note that as soon as the power supply goes off, the player goes off too.
so it is advisable for you to get a new battery.
take care.

Power cord plugged in no green light
HelloCheck the power cord first, for its conductor continuity using a multmenter. It the cord is OK, the fault is with its built in power suppy regulator board. You should have through knoledge in electronics, all tools to disassembe it, enough experence in serivcing Switch Mode Type poer supply circuit boards. If you have all of these, download its service manual from any site, and do the work by yourself. If you are not well experienced to do this work, get the set repaired either by any experienced service technician, or by the Atuthorised Service Center for Audiovox at your town. OK.

Won't charge
Does anyone know the warranty on this product? We should file a class action suit because obviously we are all having the same problem with the charger and they must know about it. Mine is only a couple months old and used sparingly - now its dead. I called Audiovox at 800-645-4994 and went thru automated hell to speak with someone. They referred me to
www.18002526123.com which sells parts (chargers) for the DVD player. That is totally bogus - they sell a bad product then want me to flip the bill to get it repaired. I don't think so.

What a piece of ****!
rechargeable battery could only last 2 years, and need a maintenance charging occasionally.
