idk how to put movies on but put your videos onto your computer then download them onto windows media player in your library and then go to sync and drag them to download and them click start sync

Dowload the Creative Media Explorer Software Pack. After clicking the link, be sure to Submit your operating system on the bottom of the page before downloading. Once Installed, use the Creative Video Converter to convert your video and transfer it to your mp3 player.

Use a paperclip to push the reset button throught a small hole on the bottom of the Zen. If the battery is dead, you may need to plug it in for a minute and then push the reset button while it's charging.

Did you install any drivers for this player?Try installing the drivers for the player if you have any for it then reboot then try plugging it in again to see if the PC sees it.If not,the player is broken.Most likely they can fix it with out proof of purchase but it may cost more then the player is worth.

I am assuming that it's disconnected when the Docked screen is showing.

There should be a small reset button on the bottom of the device. You'll need a paperclip or some other narrow object to push it. The player should turn off, and when you turn it back on, the player should rebuild. (Don't worry - you shouldn't have lost any data in the process.)

If the player still doesn't work, then post back.

I believe iTunes may not like to sync with not apple players, but I am sure DRM protection is to blame here. You can try to sync your music with the software provided by Zen, or a program called MediaMonkey, to see if it works.
Otherwise, if the music is DRM protected .mp4, you can always burn the songs into a standard AUDIO CD, and then rip the music back to your computer, that way it loses the DRM protection, and should be easy to sync without problems.

i had this problem alot for first week or two when moving stuff about best bet is to reset the little bugger leave it to sort itself out with the newly transfered data then switch off and upoun power up reset again hope it helps :)

The zen need a full charge... if you have an ac adapter plug it in for at least eight hours. if you don't have an ac adapter plug it in via USB to a DESKTOP computer (not laptop) and try to use a differnt usb cord (creative doesn't always include a powerful enough cord to get the zen out of that low power state)

1. Fully charge the unit
2. Get a song to play
3. Lock the device
4. Wait for black screen and leave it like that for 20 seconds
5. Hold the play/pause button down and move the side switch out of lock mode, then push all the way down (like you're turning it off) and release (back to middle position)
6. Release the play/pause button

If a reset does not work using the reset hole, then try this: First, back up all of your music and do this: Turn off the player and disconnect it from the computer. Then press and hold the play/puse button and turn it on simultaneously. The player should be in recovery mode. Scroll down and select format (all) and let it format. Then reload all of music back onto your player and it should work like new. Hope this helps!

Ok so apparently with Windows Media Player 11 and the latest XP update, the two are no longer best friends. Right click on the icon "My Computer." Select "Properties" on the bottom of the list, Click the "Hardware" tab and then click "Device Managers." Under "Portable Devices" should be "Creative Zen Media Player" and a yellow Explination mark should be on it. Rright click that and select "Update Drivers." Let it search online for an update, give it 2 minutes, and then jump in the air because your problem should be fixed like mine was. I have the 32 gig version, and was dreading losing my 3k+ songs and buying a damn Ipod, but now I don't have to. I hope it worked for yall, caus it just worked for me. This website inspired me to figure this thing out my self and not give up and buy an Ipod. Fixya is a sweet website.

Shut down your computer and remove the device your Zune software needs to be updated as it is currently lodged in memory. Under normal circumstances using the unplug icon is only neccessary under windows 2000 and below. XP only offers this icon as an extra per-caution but I have never had a usb device fail simply because I did not eject it before I unpluged it physically. USB is a very finicky interface and should be used only when necessary if you have another way to interface your zune that will eliminate 99% of your problems.

Hello,i have been reading your problem and i have found a sollution that should help! As your using wwp to sync your music it may be very slow,therefore that why it keeps freezing.... i reccomend you download "winamp" to sync your music,it worked for my mate who is also using a Zen....

Though this might be a bit late - Try WinAMP. I use Winamp and EVERY SINGLE album art gets transferred. Hope this helps!

press play/pause, press reset button and slide power button
will bring u to recovery mode

then u reload firmware and it will erase the firmware and will connect it again to windows. then u download and install a new firrware fromc reative site and voilla.

I had the same problem. Couldn't turn on the Zen and computer wouldn't recognize it.
