This is usually down to the cable and fuse rather than the device. You will need to buy the right power cables/power adaptor to have the device work in that country
Dell 1908fpc screen doesnt sow anything just changes colors
Hook a spare monitor to the computer, if picture okay! the Dell monitor LCD panel is defective, cheaper to buy new. But if the symptom is the same it is the video graphics card that is defective in the computer. It would be a good idea to sub the video cord for another to rule it out.
Screen changes colors
Hello,Make sure the monitor cable is tightened properly at both ends first. If still no good, try a new cable between the monitor and the computer. If still no good then contact Dell for support, or just replace the monitor if it is out of warranty.Hope this helps!Joe

I had a Dell monitor that had two faint vertical lines in the centre of the screen. Tech support told me this was 'normal' for that monitor! I sold it.

There is a fix for this kind of problem with your monitors.
There are things to check first to find out what the cause of the troubles.
1. It could be a bad capacitors in the power supply section of your monitor...If you turn on the monitor, examine the LED indicator lamp, if this lit green and a few seconds turn red, then you have a blown or leaky capacitors in the power supply section. When you open the back cover of the LCD (which I do not recommend if you don't have the skills. ) and separate this from the body frame, the part where the ends of the vga cable connect to the monitor is the power supply section. You can visibly find which blown capacitor is, replace this with exact value.
2. It could be the inverter board or the inverter lamp busted..... if you turn on your computer and flashes the screen for a few seconds and the led indicator lamp lit steadily green but the monitor screen is black, then backlight inverter lamp is busted or the inverted transformer is burnt. Open the back cover, after separating it from the body frame, separate also the screen. The inverter lamp is located in the upper and lower part of the screen. The source of the supply is the inverter board.
You can purchase a replacement inverter lamp from shopjimmy.com
Good luck!
Whenever I go into full
Your setting is too low to accomodate the colors of a video. You need to change your resolution to 1024 min. Right click on the desktop with your mouse away from the ICON's and choose properties. Change the display settings to a higher number and save your choice. Then try the video in full screen mode again and advise if this solves your problem?
The screen went white and it does not respond to
You have an inverter issue or a power supply issue. It may be that there is a voltage regulator on the main board of the monitor that has gone faulty.
2. The video sync section of the LCD ( IC ( Intergrated Circuit) that corrects voltage and current going to the inverter board that excites the LCD to give picture. Your monitor needs service.
Flat monitor will not receive image from tablet
i assume the monitor works on other machines. having said that,
Look on the tablet pc for a FN (function) button and look on the keyboard for blue icons. One would look like a square. pressing that SHOULD toggle 3 settings: 1 is use tablet display, 2, use monitor display, 3, use both displays. That is how it SHOULD work. You might want to look up the manual for that tablet pc to see exactly how it is done.
Our monitor keeps flashing on and off
OK, you have a UltraSharp Dell Monitor.
If the unit powers up and the image on the screen flashes on and off, you have had a power surge and the main power board will need to have most of the Caps. replaced or it may be better to have the entire board replaced.
The power board repair is not a hard job but finding the wright person to do it, may be harder than having it replaced.
Should be about 5 caps. will need to be removed and replaced.
One hour in labor $35.00 USD and maybe $5.00 in parts.
Or you can order the board on Ebay for about $35-40.00. and 1 hour to replace and re-assemble.
If the unit is under warr. Don't give them information, they will give you a RMA and make arrangements to have it shipped to them for repair. If you say Power Surge, they won't warranty.
Good luck.
