I think this unit uses 'UM-1' batteries. They are also known as 'D Cell', 'R20' or 'LR20' batteries. Most good electrical, hardware and some of the larger 'supermarket' stores will have these batteries available. A good quality brand like Duracell or Varta should do the job. There is also two separate smaller 'button' batteries in the unit used to power the clock.

WWV transmits on MHZ and not KHZ 5 10 and 15 and lower power on 2.5 and 20 MHZ. Depending on where you are, the antenna might no be enough to bring in the signal. You should use an external antenna for serious reception.

I searched the internet, and only saw the complete working radio for sale by three different vendors. Parts are often taken from broken radios to be used as replacements, but I didn't see a broken one. The prices ranged from $20 to $100. FIXYA unpaid volunteers answer questions for free, and there is no guarantee that someone will know the answer to any particular question. Often a manufacturer web site will have the answer someone needs but that requires the search of the internet to find it.
