Goes off and power light blinks 7 times?

The number of times it blinks is a code as to what the problem is. Go to the Panasonic web site and enter the model number etc. and it should tell you some where what the blinks mean. Different TV Manufacture's have different code blinks. Or you might get through by phone and talk to a tech. Then you will know what to do fron there. Gillight

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. Panasonic Plasma TH-42PZ70042 - female narrator voice on some channels. How do I turn this feature off?

Yo yo, checkidee check this out, before you wreck yourself, cuz big D's in your.... I have Comcast (they named themselves Xfinity without adding any value to the product). Anyways, I have a little stupid set top box from them, and a remote from Comcast. On the friggen bottom of the remote is a stupid little button called "LANG". I press it, and it says ENG or SPA on the bottom left of my TV screen. When it's showing SPA, the annoying narration happens. Sheesh, it annoyed the hell out of me for the longest time.

I accidentally overheated my Panasonic Plasma TV TH-42PZ700U. It won't turn on, and the power button is just blinking. What can I do?

All you can do is: Take the plug out of the wall (power) - wait 2hrs, plug in and try again. If it will not work after being cooled and the capacitors drained (which this will do) then it needs repair.

Ten blinks on my th-42pz80u

You have a power supply issue. You will need to replace the power mosfet Q406 and likely one or both of the 8 Amp ceramic fuses. The Mosfet is under a heat sink which will also need to be removed. It doesn't hurt to double check the rectifier diodes while you have the heat sink out of the wqay. They are probably fine though. There are also two 10 ohm fused resistors. They are the two small white ceramic boxes R410 and R413. One of these may be open as well. Parts can be found on ebay.

Panasonic plasma TH42PZ700U. Just heard

Plasma and LCD TV sets are prone to having capacitors in the power supply section fail. This is the most likely cause for the probem you describe. When capacitors fail your will commonly see one or more of the following symptoms.
  • No video, Power light is on or blinking.
  • TV is making a clicking noise.
  • TV takes a while to come on
  • Screen is very dim or flickers.

Again, You can get a power supply repair kit with the parts, detailed instructions, and support from sites such as www.TvRepairKits.com . Or just click here to see more details on their kit.

Here are pictures of capacitors...Notice that the ones below look bloated. They have failed and will need to be repalced.

I have red light blinking

This is a protection circuit that prevents the tv from coming on (to stop damage of the components) ....you need to check your voltages off the power supply and make sure they all read well (EX: 24v12v5v etc). Also look for popped capacitors that would make the values lower than need be for the tv to power on properly.

Once you repair the power supply then you may need to replace other components if needed (EX: backlight inverter)! The backlight inverter is what lites the screen for viewing!

I would recommend to repair immedately and stop trying to turn it on over and over...this will futher damage your tv and cost more to repair in the long-term.

Please rate if this helps! :D
