Although I bought new print
Hi,
1- Remove ALL the ink cartridges from the printer
2- Check that there is no residual tape on the cartridges.
3- Then clean the contacts on the cartridges as well as inside the printer itself
===> Do this with a small amount of warm water on a cotton swab until no ink comes off on the swab
4- If any of the other cartridges are low, empty, leaking or bulging, replace them with genuine and original ones.
5- Then turn off the machine and unplug it for 60 seconds
6- Insert the cartridges and check to see if the problem is still there.
If that does not solve the problem, Unfortunately it would confirm that printhead is defective. The print head is the
part of the printer that puts ink from the cartridges onto the page. If
your printer is in warranty please call Brother at 1-800-284-4329
Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 7:00pm EST and ask for a free printhead
replacement. They will ask the date of purchase and the serial number of
the printer.
Let me know,if needed further assistance.
Hope i helped you.
Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Receive coversheet followed by blank pages.
Confirm that the sender did not insert the pages to be sent upside-down in their fax machine. This will give you blank pages. Otherwise your fax may have a memory problem.

I purchased a Brother fax 1860c over a year ago
This sounds like a hardware failiure.
What I understand is the cartridge has already been replaced once and all operator funtions have been exhausted in order to make this operate.
Recheck to see if any ribbon cables are fully secured and fastened to the mechanical parts of the head, and no debries are in the head itself.
Try to contact the vendor and see how you can resolve this issue.
it sounds like the Black ink electro-mechanics is not working, beyond your control of service repair. This might be in the electical, main circuit board or trigger mechenisim that is not working.
I hope it will not cost you much money, I am sure you would like to use this fine fax machine.
Good luck.

I believe I have somehow
sounds like you have the fax set to tel mode or the cable is in the wrong connector check the entry point for the fax cable that it is in the line socket and not the tel socket also check that when you are sending the fax that it says load document as it might not be getting the paper set correctly so thinks you are doing a tel call.. good luck A

Having trouble receiving faxes, takes several times of someone sending to me to receive.
First thing to check is the condition of the phone line, if the machine has a handset make a phone call from the handset, is the line clear? Is there any static or Echos on the line?
Is the machine on a shared line with computers or an answering machine?
Call the Fax machine from a phone, is the line clear? did the machine generate its handshake burst? Did anything else try to answer the line?
Check the phone cable input, it should be going onto the LINE jack on the back of the machine.
