try blowing through the gas orifice with compressed air only.

Replace the 120/12V with the same 120/12V Transformer before you damage the 120V compressor on the refrigerator. Appliance 911 Sea Breeze

check for a gas shut off inside the fridge cabinet as well. You may have to bleed all the air out of the lines before the fridge will get gas. either keep trying or run stove burners to make sure gas is working. Also look for debris inside the burn chamber near the thermocouple/pilot light. I had rust fall from the exhaust tube and block the burner area. Cleaned it up and it works fine now.

Hi, yes the control board needs to be replaced. If you go to www.thetford.com, and select the various model numbers in the Marine section, you'll find pictures to help you identify your model. When you find it, select the 'parts' tab on the right side of your screen. From there you can get the part number for the correct control board. Norcold sells parts through their authorized dealers only. To locate the dealer nearest to you, use the dealer locator tab.

Wiggle element out of sleeve and lift up while wiggling. Once element is out, attach to 12vdc from battery or other source and see if it heats up to touch, if not, replace it. Careful, may get real hot to touch.

sounds like the burners need a good scrub to clear carbon off jets.

Just toss it and get a new one. It's not reliably repairable, or cost effective without replacing the evaporator. Next time use a hair dryer and NEVER use anything to scrape the ice off.

No way to do that other than to unplug refrigerator for at least ten minutes and then plug back in. Don't use surge protector, power strip, or extension cord.

Occasional defrosting is needed on these units. 2 weeks isn't that bad considering the environment that it is in (your boat). Every time that you open the door, moist air enters the fridge, and the moisture eventually collects on the freezer plate, and freezes. Putting foods into the freezer that are uncovered also contribute to this a great deal, as do putting in warm / hot foods before giving chance to cool down.

These freezers do not have automatic defrosters. The target environment typically has limited power available. Automatic defrosters would easily double the power requirements.

You can also check the door seals on your fridge as well. If they are not sealing properly, they can also let in humid air which then causes moisture to collect on freezer plate.

air circulaton over the cooling unit on norcold is critical get out you owners manuakl look up baffels and make sure all are in tact and also no animals have made a home behind you refer you have done all you can do inside the problem lies on the outside of the refer where the cooling unit is
