Fuji FinePix S700 Digital Camera - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Message that says protected card
When this problem occur you need to set the memory card unlock or not
protected.
Remove the memory card from camera and you can see a small button in
the memory card, so you need to slide that to set the memory card unlock
or not
protected.
My FujiPix S700 is flashing
If you have a new xD-Picture card that says "card not initialized" go to set-up and when it says "format OK? Erase All Data" press the triangle on the left of the menu/ok circle so it goes to "OK" then it will change to an hour glass going up and down until it stops and MAGIC! the card is initialized, at least it worked for this time for me.
Frame no. full
In the English Manual on page 150 it says Frame no. full:
The frame number has reached 999-9999.
Remedy:
1 insert a formatted Memory Card into the camera.
2 Set RENEW as the FRAME NO. setting in the (SET) SET-UP menu (> p.117).
3 Start taking pictures (The frame number starts from "100-0001").
4 Set CONTINUOUS as the FRAME NO. setting in the (SET) SET-UP menu.
Good luck
Is there any way to recover pictures from my pc.
you should try some photo recovery software to rescue the lost pictures, here are some programs you may rely on. Both programs can also recover videos and music.
Photo Recovery (for Windows)
Mac Photo Recovery (for Mac OS X)
Note: Before your pictures are recovered, do not attempt to save more files to the camera memory card or the concerned hard disk of your PC in case the original files(your pictures) are overwritten.
Best regards!
Lost installation cd need to install on new
You don't need any special software in order to continue using your camera. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa (
http://picasa.google.com ).

Pictures saving to internal memory instead of memory card
The camera can use up to a 2gb SD card as well as the Fuji proprietary card. Those should be readily available almost anywhere. If you are not in a big hurry you can buy 'em all day on Ebay & probably buy the proprietary XD card there as well.
Memory card is full but when try to download to computer says no pictures
Buy a memory card adapter that plugs into the usb port of your cumputer. turn off the camera (important) before removing the memory card. Place the card into the adapter and plug the adapter into the computer's usb port and download the pictures into the computer. You MUST turn off the camera before removing or replacing the card to avoid ruining the card.
