What do i do about a lens error 122,1,0,0
my father has this same camera and the same lens error. while my father and his fiance were on vacation they wanted their picture taken so they asked this sweet old lady to take it for them. after she took the picture when she went to hand it back to his fiance and say thank u. the old lady was a little short when handing it back to my fathers fiance and it fell to the ground. the lens that comes out is crooked and when u turn on the camera the lens tries to move and the screen says lens error 122 etc then shuts off. this feature is great cuz the camera knows something is wrong and shuts the camera back off to avoid further damage. i googled a repair manual when i came across ur post. we want to send it to kodak and get it repaired but were wondering if the cost to repair and shipping back to my father --- if its about the price of a new camera he'll probably just get a new camera. i suggested since im so good with fixing stuff could i take a shot at trying to fix it? he said its worth a shot. so i just took out all the screws on the outside of the camera and i have an old guitar pick to pry it open without mangling the plastic cover. if i can fix several desktop computers and i personally built the laptop im using right now, im sure i can fix the camera back to working order. the scuffs might still be there, but if i can get this to work again, i know i succeeded. this camera is about $100-$150. not sure of the exact price or where the many places u would find it. which is practically everywhere cameras are sold. ill bookmark this post and if i succeed and what i do to succeed, ill come back and post some tips. but please be aware this fix u might do, will be completely ur risk at fixing ur camera. my fathers camera is less than a year old so im charting into new territories. i hope i can do this. take care and talk to you soon. melissa locust grove, ga ps: if u succeed, please post any tips on how u fixed ur camera.
Till yesterday late night my camera was working

If you indeed have the pictures on your computer (and are safely stored)... you might try selecting the format memory card function in the camera, to reformat the card, in case it was somehow corrupted while connected to the computer.
None of the buttons on my camera are responding
Hi!
It's a loose connection between the keyboard and motherboard or a broken keyboard cable. You can remove the back cover (remove front cover first) and
check if the connection is not loose - there's a flexible key board
glued to the internal frame - it may loose connection with the main
board as key board cable's leads are from graphite - it's very cheap
and unreliable solution, cables like these get damaged quite easily. If
the cable is in the connector, looks OK, but the keys still won't work
- the key board has to be replaced. It comes with the frame. If you
feel like repairing it yourself, I can sell you a new frame with the
key board. If not, contact your local Kodak service center or me at
[email protected]This is a well known problem with these cameras and I repair these every day as I work in a Kodak service center.
Hope this helps!

Red screen even when i take a pictures
Hi!
It's probably a loose connection between the CCD and the main board - happens to these cameras quite often. If you're willing to repair it yourself, open it and check the connection. Otherwise you should contact local Kodak service center or other camera service center.
Hope this helps!

Lens stuck out; camera won't stay on
I have the same problem. Its actually because the On/Off button got pushed in somehow and its stuck. At this time right now, im not sure how to make it unstuck, but sometimes it will stay on. But when you push on, since its being held down, its stuck that way and immediately turns off because its still being held down constantly. Maybe try using a thing needle to try and push it out?
Have kodak easy share...how do i transfer pictures
After inserting your memory card into the camera, you should be able to transfer the pictures from the internal memory to the memory card. Choose the option to review your pictures and hit the menu button while reviewing the pictures. Within that menu, there will be an option for memory storage. Choose internal memory. Exit the menu and re-enter it while still in the review mode. This time, select the Copy To menu option to transfer your pictures to the memory card.
Unable to launch c:\Program Files\Digital
You really don't need the driver... Simply hook the camera up to your computer via a USB cable and double-click "Computer" and you should see a listing for the camera. Double click on this and you'll see a folder. Souble-click the folder and you should see your images. Also, I'd be very surprised if the OS was the reason for it not running that software. They tend to be backward compatible and it should work. Anyway, this work-around should get your fixed! Good luck!
Self Repair Cracked LCD
I just replaced the LCD in my Kodak EasyShare753. I removed all of the screws that I could find, but still couldn't get the case apart. I finally found that the selector knob on the top of the camera has to be rotated to the SCN position. The lower part of the knob is slotted so that the camera case easily slides apart once the slot is pointing in the right direction.
My lens will not open
Remove the battery remove the memory card. Transfer the pictures in the memory card into the system. Keep pressing the power button for 20 seconds. Once this done empty the memory card and place it back in its place and try turning on the system.
If this does not work then it would better you contact the technical support for further information.
My lens keeps saying lens
Lens errors are NOT the sole ownership of Canon. These occur for ALL cameras with telescopic lens barrels. It's a very common problem in digital cameras. Canon sticks out from the other vendors because they used the cryptic "E18" error code to show up on the LCD screen if the camera encountered this problem. Fortunately, about half the cameras that encounter this problem can be fixed by the owners (copy/paste the following into your browser):
