My element 19 inch flx-1910 tv will not power up

did you make sure the voltage, amperage, and polarity were matched tv to plug?  The information is found on the back of your tv and the plug must match that.  If they do not match, you might have fried your tv.

Made pop noises screen flashed considerable hum

Hi,This model no. is known for AC power adapter problem. Pop noises, flashes of the screen is an indication of out-of-regulation condition on its power supply. If there's no LED light lit, then high chance that the fault came from the AC power adapter. This model no. used AC power adapter with a 12 Volts output feed to the unit. You have to confirm the 12V output using the multimeter set in DC measurement. If the 12V output voltage is not present, then you have to replaced it with new one. This model no. is already discontinued, only substitution is available online which will work also for your unit. You may inquire/call Sears hotline no. (1-888-213-5824) to confirm and order the AC Adapter. Please let me know if the Adapter is intact to assist you further. Please rate only if you feel I've gave you the best answer. If you have any question, please let me know.Have a nice day!Jdvillanueva

Lost the remote in a recent tornado, can i get a

Remotes.com has a substitute remote for the TV available here: http://www.remotes.com/remotes/servlet/rs?a=Search&o=c&uid=0&m=19LA25Q&uuid=13075745073740 . This should work without any setup.

Any universal remote would also work if it was programmed 6 months or more after the TV was released. (The reviews seem to date from 2007 so you can use that date for reference.) If your remote doesn't list Proscan, you might try Thomson (TTE) which built some Proscan TVs. (RCA owned the brand earlier.) You may need to try multiple codes to find one that enables all of the TV functions. Note: the low end remotes often do not include the Source/Input and Menu buttons. If you do not have matching buttons on the TV, get a remote with those buttons. Those remotes that can be programmed via a USB connection with a computer are the fastest to set up.

I hope this helps.

(Source or Input is important if you want to go from watching TV to watching a DVD. You will notice the missing function without that button if you use several inputs.)

When I push the power button the light goes from

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors on the PSB. Many major electronics companies Philips/Magnavox, Sony, Panasonic, and others were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional $$$$$$$??????? (Is it under warranty?)

2. Open your TV and find PSB. (The board that the power cord plugs into) Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board. The entire board costs around $250 right now because they are in high demand right now. They can be found at tv-part.com but supplies are limited. I would definitely shop around though.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

This may be your problem. If you determine that it might be.

I have a Tip/How TO tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It's called: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem. I'm working on uploading pictures to help guide people though the process as well. Let me know if I can do anything to help.

Hope this helps and if it does please rate it accordingly. Good luck.

When I turn on tv, green light comes on and there

This Proscan 19LA25Q has no relay to make any clicking sound that I can think off. The common problem with this model is the fail backlight inverter board. Did you see the screen flashes on for a second? You should also check the output voltage of the AC adapter, it should be 12vdc with load. Check the surface mounted fuse on the inverter board (this board is really hard to find).

After disconnect power/antenna/any AV wires, turn your TV. Look at back side of your TV (on TOP of Stand part). You should see some screws there. To remove your stand, you should unscrew them all. Then Hold your stand and pull UP your TV. Be careful with your TV once your stand taken apart .

No picture. screen says "no signal" and "dtv-12"

I believe this unit has an external power supply (black box) attached to the cord. And it may. This is the first place to trouble shoot. This external power supply has a weak capacitor inside. When this happens, the voltage is low and the current is low. If you can test the the voltage (which will be DC) on the output of this power supply, do so.Any reading less than 12 volts indicates this is a weak power supply. Open this black box, and you may see a capacitor with a bulged top. Replace this cap with the same voltage and MFs. Good luck and thanks for asking and show a few hands of support.

Red lights is on and when I go to turn on the TV

Your external power supply is the culprit. The small box that is connected the outlet plug is bad. The TV itself is fine! The external box has a bad capacitor inside. You will find a 16 volt 1000MF capacitor at 105 degrees that is bad and next to that one is a 25 volt 1000MF at 105 degrees, replace as well! Show this info to your TV tech or hobbiest and repairs will be at hand. Thanks for asking and good luck!

Power does not turn on on our 19la25q. Red light

The external power supply is the problem. The small box that is connected to the outlet plug has an internal problem. If you can get inside of this box, you will find a capacitor, 16 volts, 1000MF at 105 degrees . Replace with same value and the capacitor next to that one is a 25 volt 1000MF at 105 degrees. Replace as well with same value! Ask a TV tech or a hobbiest to do the work for you. Thanks for asking.!
