Help
Call Sprint Nextel and tell them that you got the new phone. Different phones use different data emulations, and you're probably on the wrong one. Once you have the serial number/MSN (number starts with "364") added to your account, the phone may take up to 8 hours to reset and accept messages.

Resetting motorola i830
There is no way to do such a thing. The i830 works off the iDEN network and is not compatible in any way with the GSM network used by Cingular. Sorry. Truth is, the i830 is junk, you're better off without it.

The only way to do so is to stop by a service and repair center and ask them to read your codeplug with Motorola's RSS program, and they can tell you what the password is.

Phone saids ready
the i830's were junk. It's probably dented inside. If you want to try and get it fixed, you will need to have this repaired at a local service center.
This is covered completely by Sprint Nextel's ESRP (Equipment Service
& Repair Program) and TEP (Total Equipment Protection), and can be
done at any Sprint Nextel Service & Repair Location. If you do not
subscribe to ESRP or TEP, the charge for the repair will be no more
than $55.

Motorola i830 nextel
Sorry there is no iDEN network in India, and the i830 will not work with any other network. Try selling the i830 on ebay.

Sim Network Unlock Pin Motorola
How to enter my Unlock Code on Motorola ?
Model : All Motorola
1 - Switch ON your phone with a not allowed SIM Card,
2 - Phone show "Enter Special Code",
3 - You can now enter the Unlock Code we send to you.
WARNING : If one of theses messages appear :
- "Contact Service Provider"
- "Tampert Alter"
- "Wait before enter special Code"
- "Contact Service'
It's because you or somebody allready enter too many wrong codes, you just have to let phone ON on theses errors messages and after 40 min to 2 hours maximum the message "Enter Code Special" will appear again !
