You need an app that will display all the wifi in the area, by power and channel. I'd suspect that you are getting interference on the same channel. Try a different channel, move the antennas around, make a directional antenna, reduce the shielding between you and the router.

Have you got any electrical work done in your place? I don't know your location o can't comment on that but here in India and in places we have 3 phase supply in every home. For your device pair to function properly they need to be on the same phase. Won't work otherwise. Try plugging both the devices in the same room where you know for sure that the plugs are on the same circuit. See how it responds.

CHECK WITH YOUR ISP

It will be lit up if there's a Ethernet Cable Connected to either of the 4 ports. If you will be using a Hardwired connection to connect the Computer to the router you will see that the light on the port where the ethernet cable is connected will lit up. However if you will be using wireless connection then it wont lit up.

Simply use a paper clip to push in th tiny reset buttonm at rear, hold in until unit resets. All dat will default to manufacturers.
