Hi dick_leising,
If you're experiencing leaks out of the bottom, it is often caused by the washer. It is often worn out and will not seal. The easiest way to resolve this issue it to replace it. That little screen that lies at the bottom of the bucket needs to be snapped out and the washer replaced. Here are additional steps that you may apply.
1. Unscrew the bottom.
2. Remove the spring loaded lever carefully.
--> don't loose the spring.
3. After getting the lost rubber washer out of the hole, pop the screen out using a screw. Please be careful not to poke a hole in screen.
4. Replace lever and spring and push the Star ended piece through the bottom and then fasten the washer.
5. Replace all excess pieces and it should be fixed provided the washer isn't badly worn.
Hope it helps.

Hamilton beach flexbrew. Say “Fill H2O” but is is full. What do I do?
I was able to fix this:1. Remove top cover2. Remove grate, one screw3. Dump water4. Clean water sensor probe (silver colour, bullet shape, approx 1/4" long), use a small flat screw driver with paper towel to remove any build up.5. Plug in and test until it works.if you get it to work again, that would be a good time to run the vinegar solution through.
The coffee dispenser bar isn't working in my Hamilton Beach coffeepot 47900. Nothing comes out! Can I fix it?
There are a few possible reasons why the coffee dispenser bar on your Hamilton Beach
- Check the water level in the reservoir. Make sure that there is enough water in the reservoir to brew a full pot of coffee. If the water level is too low, the coffee dispenser bar may not work properly.
- Clean the coffee dispenser bar. Over time, coffee grounds and other debris can accumulate on the coffee dispenser bar, clogging it and preventing the coffee from flowing properly. To clean the bar, run a solution of equal parts water and vinegar through the coffeepot and then rinse it thoroughly.
- Check the filter basket. Make sure that the filter basket is properly seated in the coffeepot and that it is not clogged with grounds. If the basket is not properly seated or is clogged, it may prevent the coffee from flowing through the dispenser bar.
- Check the gasket. The gasket is a rubber seal that helps to create a tight seal between the carafe and the coffeepot. If the gasket is damaged or worn, it may cause a leak and prevent the coffee from flowing through the dispenser bar.
If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, it is possible that there is a problem with the coffeepot itself. In this case, you may need to have it repaired or replaced.
