CyberPower 725SL UPS System Questions & Answers
I have a CyberPower 725SL UPS. Shortly after
Couple different items to check.
- Try letting the unit set ideal for overnight charging the battery. Do not even turn the unit on.
- Replace the battery.
If you turn the unit on when the battery is plugged in and does not keep a charge you can almost be sure it is the battery or the charging circuit not maintaining the battery.
What does wiring fault light mean?
The Site Wiring Fault LED will indicate three status:
• Led On: The site wiring fault function is enabled and a site wiring fault is present.
• Led Off: The site wiring fault function is disabled.
• Led Flash: The Site wiring fault function is enabled and there is no site wiring fault.
When the input power is normal the Site wiring fault LED will flash.
• To disable this function, press the Site wiring fault LED button
for 10 sec when the UPS is plugged in to wall power and the UPS is off.
• To enable this function, press the Site wiring fault LED button
for 10 sec when the UPS is plugged in to wall power and the UPS is off.
Is the wiring fault light indicator lit? This means that the outlet that the unit is
connected to is either not properly grounded, or has reversed wiring.
First, try connecting the unit to another outlet. If the unit does not display the wiring fault light
in the new outlet you will need to have an electrician correct the
problem with the other faulty outlet.If it still displays the wiring fault more troubleshooting will be necessary to determine the cause

Yes, it would appear that you need to replace the battery on this unit.
You could get a new battery from a local battery specialty store like Batteries Plus or Interstate Battery, or online at www.replacementupsbattery.com. A new battery would be about $30. If you took your old battery there, they could recycle your old one, as well as match it up with the correct one you would need (BP9-12 battery).

Tom, usually those can be replaced by the End User. It's rare that they'd be sealed inside, but that does happen at times. The big issue is finding replacement batteries of same type/size fit, and you'd need to do that online.

It may not be dead yet. Does it supply output? You have not mentioned. It would be considered dead if it does not give any output. Is the battery fine? If the battery is fine and there is no output then it may be dead.
So, check the battery for any sign of life.
Check the output.
Check output with it plugged into mains.
If all are negative then it is dead.
