I need a manual for a Masterbuilt Turk N Surf ETFT Electric Indoor Turkey Fryer.

Masterbuilt doesn't show this manual on their website anymore, but if you e-mail them, they will send it to you. They just sent me a copy this afternoon, and I put it online here: http://www.pdf-archive.com/2015/11/17/sedtfv-eng-070809/I'm not sure how long that website will host it, so if it's not there when you check, contact Masterbuilt directly.

Tried to fry a turkey yesterday but I could not get the oil hot enough. I was using vegetable oil.

oil does not matter, any cooking oil will work, olive oil is the least desireable , you must have a good strong gas flow to your burner to get the oil temp correct

I have a deep fryer that heated up before i put the oil in it now it wont heat up with the oil in it

The liquids in it act as a heat sink and prevent it from damaging itself All electrical appliances have a thermal cutoff to prevent fires. Replace it and try again next year. :)

No power

That is usually a problem with placing the heating unit into the bracket correctly. If is isn't put in properly the unit won't even power on. You may need to take it off and on several times to get it right.

Do you start timing as soon as you put turkey in

I start it as soon as I place the turkey in the oil. I always add about 5-10 min onto their suggested time though.

Doubtful, it voids the warranty as soon as you open the housing and the wiring diagram isn't in the manual.
