Hi,
I have a Gateway GP6-566C
Most desktops will check the floppy drive when starting up anyway regardless of what setting is in the bios, try to look for any commands required for boot selection when you boot up...I have to hit TAB while booting up to select to boot from CD.
Let me know how you get on
I need a cpu fan what size does it take
It goes by which socket you have. I am an Intel connoisseur so my knowledge ends with Intel PCs.
If your processor is an early Intel Pentium 4, you will want a socket 478 CPU cooler.
If your processor is a late Intel Pentium 4 or Intel Core 2 Duo/Quad (~2ghz+) you will want a socket 775 CPU cooler. Luckily this socket is still in wide use and many can be found locally or online.
If your processor is an Intel Core i7, you will want a socket 1366 cooler.
Just go to a local PC store and ask for an LGA478, LGA775, or LGA1366 CPU heatsink.
I have a Gateway LP2417 monitor and there's No sound.Hoe do I fix it,so I can hear the video that is playing?
This monitor may not have built-in speakers. It may have supported Gateway's monitor mounted sound bar. That sound bar connected to the 3.5 mm audio out on a computer and a DIN port on the monitor.
The simplest solution is to connect your source to appropriate speakers. Depending on your audio setup, you could connect the video source to a receiver with HDMI IN and HDMI Out (ARC), computer speakers or an audio extractor. (If you are using an HDMI cable between the Gateway LP2417 and a computer, you may need to reset the audio output to use basic computer speakers (3.5mm jack).) VGA and DVI connections don't support audio so I assume you are using the HDMI port.
I hope this helps.

How to make touch screen on gateway computer upside down and how to put it back?
f you want to use your touch screen on your gateway computer in an upside down orientation, there are a few things you need to do.
First, you need to change the orientation of the screen in the control panel. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Display." Next, click on the "Settings" tab and then click on the "Orientation" drop-down menu. Select "Landscape (flipped)" from the menu and then click on the "Apply" button.
Now that the orientation of the screen has been changed, you need to adjust the position of the touchscreen so that it is in the correct position. To do this, go to the control panel and select "Hardware and Sound." Next, select "Pen and Touch" and then click on the "Calibrate" button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touchscreen. Once you have finished, the touchscreen should be working correctly in the upside down orientation.
I hope this helps!
