The front control panel should come off after removing a few screws then look for a large capacitor behind it .DO NOT TOUCH THE TERMINALS! This capacitor is a common cause of the symptoms you describe and costs almost nothing.Changing it may be the fix.

Normally you have to separate the door panels (as shown in the attached photo) and then you'll see the previously hidden screw(s) you need to remove. Or you can watch a YouTube video (not a video I made) that demonstrates how it's done. In some cases, you then have to gently rotate the handle to unlock it. Since I don't know the model, here's a general answer. On a GE over the range oven, the top air deflector assembly is usually removable. After its off, you will have access to the fasteners at the top of the control panel. Remove it, and you should be able to see the door switch/latch assembly on the left.

There is a fuse inside the unit you may check and see if that is it. If not then it will be the front panel. Hope this helps

It may be damaged from inside. Check it to the Oven Specialist. He will assist you and told you that what's wrong. Maybe its Power Problems that causing heat not to produce.

probably a magnatron failure take it to an appliance repair shop for a proper diagnosis and get a quote as repairs can be more expensive than new unit

It normally is not possible to check the diode of a Microwave oven without some special high voltage testing equipment. If you suspect it, replacing it would be much cheaper. A typical DVM will not do the job. But diodes usually are not the first part to fail; check the transformer.

Probably best to have a repair tech look at it or just replace the microwave. You may have a problem either with the circuit board or with one of the door microswitches.

This is a two person job. You have to have one person holding it and the other takes the screws out from the cabinets above the unit. There should be two screws that are inside the cabinet that hold it up against the bottom of the cabinets. When those are loose you can slide the unit forward on the rails that attach to a large wall bracket. Or some use a lift type latch to the wall bracket.

Kurt, If you are talking about an over the oven microwave, you will need help because of safety concerns with the weight of the microwave. There should be 3 screws in the cabinet above the microwave and that is also usually where you will find the power cord plugged in. Unplug the unit and with someone holding on to the bottom of the microwave, take out the 3 screws and let the microwave tilt forward for several inches and then you can lift the back of the microwave off of the wall bracket that is behind it. If you are talking about the 2 hooks that stick out of the door, in most cases yes they are replaceable. also the switches behind the holes the hooks go into are also replaceable. Door hooks can be accessed by carefully prying off the plastic inner door frame around the hooks. You have to be gentle or the frame will crack. Take your time and go slowly all the way around the door.
