Sega master system 2
Hi, Sega master system 2 are connected to your TV via an RF cable. One end is RCA which connects to your console the other end is Pal which connects to you TV's antenna inlet if your using the sega RF switch then the RF switch connects to your antenna inlet on your TV and you should have a RCA to RCA cable which connects the console to the switch. Please note these cables and power adaptors can in some cases be faulty. These console are manually tune to VHF-1 frequency so make sure your TV has this frequency. some do tune to UHF but most tune to VHF-1 if you need parts or what your console modified to allow it to connect to your TV's AV inlet or S-Video visit
www.gameoz.com.au as they stock a huge range of Retro gear.
Sega Master System rusty heat shield
WOW a master system? I haven't seen one in a while. Anyway, there are several ways to clean rust off of metal. Sanding, is the hardest, because you can actually remove some of the good metal. A fantastic solvent for rust, is PB Blaster. It breaks down rust and doesn't leave a resedue. If you can remove it, try CLR purchased from your local retail store. Good luck. ^^
Sega Master System Controller Port
sounds like the soldering has come loose a bit over the years this tends to happen if you want there is two options open it up and fix the soldering issue or send it in for repair.
I have a shop and it would be $15 plus return shipping costs to fix the unit.
Where could I find a replacement controller port
The best place to look for things like this is eBay. Just search for As-Is Sega Master System on eBay, and see what comes up ( I also just searched for sega master system, and found some cheap consoles that were in working order). Also, another option you might try is see if there were any "controller extensions" made for it. That might give you something to cannibalize to make your new port. Hope this has helped!
Hi im trying to get
Welcome to Fixya
I remember it right this console only has one lead that looks a bit like an antenna connection, one goes into the back of the console and the other goes into the antenna input on the tv. Then you need to plug the console in to mains outlet turn it on and tune in your tv to pick it up. I normally plug it into the antenna outlet and switch my channel on to the same channel that picks up the vcr, and it works. Here's what it looks
like.

Black and white Picture Sega Master System 2
Is this one of those much older Sega systems with the RF connector that plugs into the incoming cable from outside and the TV?If it is,there should be a channel selector switch on the back,CH3 or CH4.Try the other channel. If it doesn't go away, your RF connector is on it's last legs.
Good luck and game on!
