Do you have many other wireless networks in your vicinity? It could be interference from those networks.

Do other wireless laptops connect to your wireless router, and give good speeds? Do you have many wireless networks, other than your own, that show up when you try to connect? It could be interference from other wireless networks in your vicinity.

Connect your computer to your router. It should automatically get an IP-address. Click the Windows "Start" button (Windows 7). Type 'cmd' into the search-box. Press ENTER. Type 'IPCONFIG /ALL'. Look for the IP-address of the "gateway", or the IP-address of the "DHCP-server". That is the IP-address that you want to type into your web-browser.

Straighten one end of a paper-clip. Push it into the hole in the back of the router. Hold it for 30 seconds. The router is now set to "factory" settings, including the original ID/password.

The WBR-2310 router has FOUR 'LAN' ports. Plug the baby-monitor into one of those ports.

Login to the router. Enter the current password. Use the router's web-interface to set a new password.

DSL-modems do not use PIN codes for WPS access, unless there is a PIN printed on the bottom of the device.

Use the "Add New Hardware" wizard to get Windows to detect the modem.

Ask the owner of the router for the SSID (name of the network) and the password.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect from the port on the DSL modem to the WAN/Internet port on the D-Link modem.
